We already did this one so I’m going to take the liberty 🗽 of changing it to, YOUR TURN: ‘What are your favorite things to grill?’ Clams, Salmon, Chicken, Vegetables (Zucchini, Asparagus, etc.) 🌽 , potatoes
I wouldn’t eat a hotdog or hamburger if you paid me, but I do like turkey burgers
I think Tricia13 called it LAST TIME WE HAD THE SAME BLIND: Bacon infused vodka. #shudder As for chosen method of cooking meat on an open fire? Here in South Africa we braai, we don't bbq. Wood all the way baby. One of the simple pleasures that remain as we try to not get murdered. That smell of braais lighting up. So yes...wood for sure. Although I suspect the alliterate and/or closeted people use charcoal. ;-)
Pretty sure we did have this one within the last week. And also pretty sure everyone weighed in.
But I’ll add my recent epiphany that a good gas grill and iron wok makes cooking proper Eastern Asian food so much faster, tastier, and simpler. With a LOT less clean up.
Just watch out for those flames and remember the long utensils.
@Aquagirl- beef kabobs. A close second is shrimp. Third is this outrageous rotisserie chicken that is brined first. It's in a sweet/salty solution overnight and it's the best chicken I've ever eaten.
WOOD
ReplyDeleteApartment not on ground floor-- no grill
ReplyDeletecharcoal!
ReplyDeleteDidn't we do this already? Gas, of course.
ReplyDeleteNothing but clean burning lady propane. Taste the meat, not the heat!
ReplyDeleteCharcoal by far, second choice is wood, gas a distant third
ReplyDeleteSeriously, this was a question in the past few weeks wasn't it?
ReplyDeleteNatural gas. No sense getting a hernia hefting heavy bags of charcoal or propane. Enty you senile? We just did this recently.
ReplyDeleteCharcoal with hickory wood chips.
ReplyDeleteGas
ReplyDeletePropane.
ReplyDeleteLess messy than charcoal nuggets.

WTF kind of bullshit is this Enty, we just had this question. Just because it's Friday day drinking time does not mean you get to drop the ball. ;)
ReplyDelete@Brayson: I changed the question if you would like to answer that one.
ReplyDeleteOR, we can change it to what is Enty drinking today.

Maybe it can be multiple choice:
ReplyDeleteWhat is Enty drinking today:
1) Tequila
2) Bacon Martinis
3) Bloody Mary’s
Etc.
I would need assistance here because most of you guys know him better than I do.
Neither. I shouldn't be near open flames. Microwave for me.
ReplyDeleteI don't have a charcoal grill. Having consumed a few dark beers, however, I do have gas.
ReplyDeleteRecTec wood pellet grill. Worth every penny and I even use it in the winter.

May 28th, one month to the day.
Gas, i like eating, not cooking
ReplyDeleteFryer!!!
ReplyDeleteAh, well. I tried to change the question 11 items up, since we all knew this was a repeat. Clearly I’m the only one who reads other comments:
ReplyDelete@Aquagirl-- shrimp! BIG ones, in the shell, split down the middle.
ReplyDeleteOr, baby back ribs, low and slow over the coals and hickory wood chips
Charcoal cause that's all I got.
ReplyDeleteShrimp wrapped with bacon

ReplyDeleteCharcoal and apple wood chips
