Blind Item #4 - Mark Harris Blind Item
The worst interview I ever did was with a new SNL cast member desperate to come up with a signature catchphrase. We sat alone in his empty apartment--he hadn't unboxed anything--and he tried them on me and waited for me to laugh. I still get cold sweats remembering. It never ran.
Is this Martha Raye's Mark Harris? The "I'm A Gay Papa" guy?
ReplyDeletei just asked that question too!! Lol
DeleteColin Jost?
ReplyDeleteDude not funny
Andy Samberg.
ReplyDeleteIf that's the worst, you're lucky.
ReplyDeleteOh, where to begin? So much of it isn't funny. This could be several
ReplyDeleteAgree .Thought maybe a news anchor because they usually have the tag lines...ah I miss the days of” Hi, I’m Chevy Chase -and you’re not”.
DeleteWhat a great time to work on material, during an interview. 😒
ReplyDeleteThat big dick energy guy. Forgot his name. The Ariana Grande one.
ReplyDelete(he's not funny)
Pete Davidson
Deletepete is funny
DeleteEntertainment Weekly’s Mark Harris. Now out of a job after 29 years. Boy did that publication roll right downhill into the crapper. Years ago it had insight, wit—and women working there.
ReplyDelete@ Tricia13 Yes. Him.
ReplyDelete@JL, Shitty editors love getting rid of their best journalists first, freakin' egomaniacs.
ReplyDeleteI think it’s someone from the 90’s
ReplyDeleteMark has been around a while
20+ years ago it was my favorite mag.
ReplyDeleteThey ruined it!
Probably Chris Kattan because he's in the news lately. To be fair "I'll suck your dick for $20" isn't exactly a catchphrase just because he says it often.
ReplyDeleteTotally unlike the hilarious catchphrases on the show - NOT.
ReplyDeleteIt’s Pete
ReplyDeleteIt's 100% NOT Pete. He's not a catchphrase comedy guy. It's going to be someone that's more character based. A Kattan type is a good guess, a Chevy, a Myers anyone that's character driven and had reoccurring characters.
ReplyDeletePeople are just saying Pete because it's the only one they know and they like to hate on him. They don't know anything about comedy, SNL, or Pete.
Akbar- LOL!
ReplyDeleteAgreed- EW used to be great. Lately, Ive been seriously disappointed, but hadnt bothered to look at editor and staff changes. The ship needs to be righted, quickly!
Boy, Im not sure on Mr. Catchphrase! I'll agree with Pete bc he doesn't have any signature characters, and was probably told to work on that
Pete Davidson!
ReplyDeleteTracy Morgan. That guy is seriously unfunny.
ReplyDeletePete bought a house with his mother.
ReplyDeleteAkbar - LOL
ReplyDeleteLOla - I couldn't tell you anyone on SNL right now except for Pete and Colin and that's just because I hear of them on this site.
Enthusiasm, has your sidekick Catchy quotes got anything to give this poor unfortunate?
ReplyDeleteAh stop shitting on Jost. He's funny. But not as funny as Che. Those segments where they write jokes for each other to read on air without seeing them before the show have me screaming.
ReplyDeleteI'll go with Kattan just because he's in the news and he suuuuuucks.
Can't stand Pete Davidson and this was before we all knew about the Ariana Grande stuff. He's not funny. Mostly he just stands there with a stupid look on his face. Many on SNL with more talent.
ReplyDeleteI don't think it's a current cast member. I'm going to go with someone earlier, who just seems uncomfortable in his own skin. Norm McDonald (who I kind of liked as a stand-up)
ReplyDeleteAlleyCat-- Brilliant!😂
ReplyDeleteTo be fair, the joke is: I’m not gay but 20 bucks is 20 bucks.
ReplyDeleteIt's bizarre how the incel Trumpists are absolutely obsessed with Colin Jost. The guy gets 12 minutes of screentime, yet they know everything about him and then with clenched fists claim to "hate" him or think he's "unfunny".
ReplyDeleteI just wanna know why Scar-Jo is marrying him? And isn’t she a bit young to already be going for marriage #3 given that #1 & #2 seemed to be over before they even began?
ReplyDelete'cheeseburger. cheeseburger. pepsi. pepsi. pepsi.'?
ReplyDelete'Jane, you ignorant slut.'?
'France. We're from France.'?
No, that would be like 45ish years ago when it was something new and quite funny.
Definitely not Pete Davidson. Not his comedy style at all.
