How long till the firm banishes them to Africa? Thought it would be done by now. Also, how long will the public there tolerate this constant PR barrage? This girl is doomed: trying to be something she's not. From what I understand the public at large over the pond don't really like/tolerate anyone who isn't going to occupy the throne. I give it about 3 more years and Harry will being straying. He has his kid.If Meghan gets pregnant too soon after C-section, she'll encounter medical problems. Body isn't designed to withstand it all and the babies suffer medically (born too soon, etc)

ReplyDeleteHonestly, the BRF is how I felt about the Real World (seasons 1-13). I would want to do it for about a week for the cool house, location and perks. Then would want to get back to normal living without the scrutiny.

And now cue the comments about how MEagain doesn't have any friends, etc, because that's something they know about. And the usual outrage over the 400 million pounds they spent on Frogmore Cottage, blah blah blah blah, which is so much more than the £4.5 million Kate and Wills spent on their KP apartment. Oh but that's different because they're going to be the king and queen, in theory, so it's OK to blow millions on an apartment.
And also FAKE BABY. And the queen isn't attending which is a huge snub except she didn't go to Louis' either.
The Queen was sick and couldn't make it to P Louis' christening...it was widely reported in the British Press and many were concerned about her health.

First, KP is an official Royal Residence, the cost for W and K's refurb was £1m which also went on structural work to preserve what is in fact an historical palace belonging to the nation. KP has areas bith inside and out open to the public. Frog Cott is heading towards £3M already and isn't a building of national importance like Frog House.
M and H were offered an apartment at KP which would have cost nothing for security as that is already in place for the whole of KP. Now, the taxpayer will be funding extra costs on top of the refurb all because H and M wanted a separate court...which, it turns out, the Queen has forbidden.
M likes to spout on about humanitarian causes whilst spending our money on two new orangeries, a floating yoga floor and a tennis court....all things these two millionaires could have paid for themselves. The cost of this would have housed some of our homeless ex servicemen and women. They bleat about wanting privacy yet like to take from the public purse.
So yeah, right now many of us are pissed off with H and M for being a pair of blatant hypocrites.
Meghan looked good,no puffy face this time. She needs to work on her likeability, if she was as into charitable works as her revamped profile indicates,that should be easy.😎

DeleteI'd say the Royal family has let the couple know how they feel. Not only isn't the Queen going but reports are saying neither is Prince Phillip or Prince Charles. Grandpa can't make time to show up? I'm looking forward to seeing who from the family actually does make an appearance.

What's interesting is now it's not only get rid of MM and Harry but more calls for ending the monarchy and/or only supporting the direct heir to the crown. There's great love for the Queen but when she's gone all bets are off.

Still wearing padding under her clothes, bad wig, botoxed forehead, too much bronzer, etc. She acted even worse—talking to herself, blocking the camera shot of the team so that they had to ask her to move multiple times, doubled-over in laughter like an insane woman over nothing funny. She definitely seemed drunk or high. She wasn’t supposed to be there. Only PH was.

It's going to be "private" unless you're a celebrity, even one she hasn't met, lolol. She is pretty transparent.
ReplyDeleteThe dress looked like something you would wear to a job interview, not a baseball game. She should have worn a flowy sundress and some cute sandals or sneakers. (At least she wore flats and not heels.) Other than that, I thought she looked good.

ReplyDeleteNo in general we like all the royals, they are relatively harmless provided they do the job they are being paid to do. The sensible ones realise there is a contract between them and the public. They are allowed the privilege of being royal because of the wishes of the British people.
MM and Harry are taking the piss with their extravagant expenditure and wanting a "private life" at the same time as chasing celebrity. Speaking as a royalist if the BRF do not get rid of these too sooner rather than later the entire BRF can get lost as well.
I don't care if it is only £1.25 or whatever, we pay royals to behave like royals and represent UK plc. They are effectively government ministers without porfolio or senior diplomats. As representatives of the people working royals should behave a certain way. MM and to some extent Harry are not pulling their weight. The longer this goes on the more likely I and other royalists are to start getting Republic memberships and writing to our MP's about having a referendum on the Monarchy.
Is anyone else side eyeing Omid Scobie's exclusive story that thoughtful Harry went to NYC based Lorraine Schwartz to alter Meghan's engagement ring? And it was a surprise? I would be surprised if Harry even knew of Lorraine Schwartz! The original ring was made was made at Buckingham Palace by Cleaves, the Queen's Crown Jeweler! Not to dis Lorraine's craft, but a hallmark from Cleaves has far more intrinsic value. It makes no sense.

And then she’s hugging the Red Sox player who might be related to her from 250 years ago. Both teams gave gifts for ‘Archie’ (onesies with the team logos) and when she holding the Yankee one she’s doubled over, laughing hysterically for no apparent reason.

ReplyDeleteKate and Wills apartment at Kensington was lived in by Princess Margaret for over 40 yrs and the apartment definitely needed redong.
ReplyDeleteIt was also found to have asbestos and the removal of it greatly contributed to the costs of their renovations.
Princess Margaret had a chefs commercial kitchen in the apartment as she didn’t cook and also entertained frequently. Kate and William live a child centered more modern life, where they do cook wirh their family and two kitchens were created in the remodeling.
One for entertaining and the other for family cooking and dining.
Megs stock is sinking faster than the Titanic, will be surprised if she can get any celebs to show up for the annouced “private christening”

To be fair the baseball player is actually her cousin, damn complicated this liniage thing but he is her 3rd cousin once removed. Once removed means they are one generation apart.
ReplyDeleteThat said I'm a 5th cousin twice removed to the Queen, 5th cousin in various degrees to to Charles, William and Harry as well, through the Queen Mother's Scottish line, sounds impressive but I bet hundreds of thousands could claim that same lineage. It means nothing really except I could go up to Prince Charles and hug him and say in all honesty I'm your cousin (if security hadn't tackled me to the ground first). A bit like 20% of the population in Kentucky claiming some genuine family link to Abraham Lincoln or his wife. Including Rosemary, Nick and George Clooney. The further you go back the more likely you are to be related to someone royal or noble,especially if you have European ancestry. Hell if you go far enough back the Queen is said to be a direct decendent of the prophet Muhammad(figure that one out).

No one remembers what it was like for Diana or Sarah? They gave Sarah a very hard time in the press. If the internet existed when both married, I can't imagine what the internet would've done with them both. It wouldn't have been nice.
Obsessing over everything royals do is as old as royals are. It isn't all vapid either. Some revolutions began with gossip about royals.

ReplyDeleteI agree, the Royals, their scandals and way of life have been talked about for centuries. I'm 51, I remember perfectly well about Diana and Fergie, ESPECIALLY Diana. I did like her, but I could tell she had her issues too. Not by any anonymous source, but her looks (depressed) and wearing her heart on her sleeve. I guess that's what made her "real" to others "the people's Princess".
As for Fergie, I'm sure the Internet would have basically rolled her so hard she would commit suicide and no, I'm not joking. Social media truly is the bane of western civilization. In the beginning it was GREAT. People were SO nice and civil to each other because we all loved being on-line with this new and exciting thing called the Internet and the fact that we could "talk" to people so far away!
