This reality show couple who recently became a current reality show couple again are trying to sell their idea for a MLM venture. The thing is though, it is most likely a Ponzi rather than a MLM.
Has anyone noticed how MLM companies operate like brainwashing cults?!? Good grief. I feel like It works and LeVelThrive are the ABSOLUTE WORST in this respect (but I'm sure there are MANY other guilty organizations). I've LEGIT seen friendships end over these two stupid corporations. These companies operate like pyramid schemes where the goals are to constantly recruit more and more "victims" in under the guise of "being your own boss!!" as an independent sales consultant...as opposed to ACTUALLY SELLING product. No one makes much money at all aside from the people closer to the very top of the pyramid. All the recruits are trained to flood their social media feeds with posts expressing how much they all adore their jobs (all using VERY similar copy/paste type text with TONS of emoji characters), and to also DM everyone on their friends list and even hit up random strangers out in public to try and garner recruits. It's bizarre....
If you DARE try and explain this to the indoctrinated recruits....prepare to be shut out and cut off. Sad stuff....
Also, I agree with the Speidi guesses. They probably have seen Tori and Dean do the MLM gig thing with Ian Ziering and have been taking notes.
If celebrities get into the MLM game, they quickly build their little "downline" of zombie recruits because (pathetically) there are many starstruck fans who will DO ANYTHING to get closer to their favorite celebs...even PAYING the $100+ intro fees to join the bottom of these schemes beneath their favorite star. *barf*
"In both Ponzi schemes and pyramid schemes, existing investors are compensated by the contributions of new investors. Ponzi scheme participants believe they are earning returns from their investment, while pyramid scheme participants are aware that they are earning money by recruiting new participants."

Delete"It's Not A Pyramid"!
ReplyDeleteMLMs are still ponzi -- how they are legal boggles my mind. People get ripped off left and right.
ReplyDeleteThey probably don't realize their plan is actually an inverted pyramid scheme, and everyone but them will get paid.
ReplyDeleteHeidi and Spencer and their crystals?

ReplyDeleteJust what we need- another essential oil Boss Babe
ReplyDeleteMLM and Ponzi scheme aren't synonyms?
