The main sticking point for this permanent A list mostly movie actress signing on for a role in a Marvel movie is she wants to be paid more than anyone has for a marvel movie. Her only concession is that it can be the most per minute of screen time than anyone. She is pretty adamant about it which, considering what I think her financial situation is right now, is a pretty bold move.

ReplyDelete+1 @Brayson, but remember, Angie has Borderline Personality Disorder. She needs to think that she’s better than anyone else, hence asking to be the highest paid. But we don’t know what her role would be (at least I don’t.) So her total screen time could be 10 minutes and she’ll still think she ‘won’ if she gets paid the most per minute. Sad, but true.
ReplyDelete@Brayson: if past substance use was a barrier to high pay for Marvel movies, Downey would be living in a trailer park. She seems to be dealing with an eating disorder more than drug use these days but she could definitely rock a superhero role.

ReplyDelete@Brayson Who knows other than Angie. All I can say is she looks and acts more like the many many* people I’ve known with (bpd and) eating disorders than (bpd and) active drug use.
ReplyDeleteHard to believe Brad’s lawyers wouldn’t have been all over that if she was still using the way she’s known to have in the past.
That said, anorexia is addictive, too, and arguably about as harmful. I tend to think she’s comfortable being weird, and about as crazy as you’d expect with her upbringing and BPD not always medicated, but not nearly the wacko monster she’s portrayed as.
*How did I end up in those circles anyway? Best not to question.

ReplyDelete@Ames: Twice that I know of. Once when BBT left her (b4 their marriage) and her mother had to fly her back to LA because she was totally out of it. She was in an LA Hospital (can’t remember which one) & kept saying that she & BBT were on a ‘road trip’ and she couldn’t find him and on and on. They diagnosed her with BPD. I think he married her just so she wouldn’t kill herself. Jon Voight also spoke about it, quite frankly, on TV. And he begged her not to adopt Maddox because she was incapable of being a mother. There have been many other signs (her Larry King interview for example.)!

@Hanniam: she’s got 3 issues—drug addiction (mostly heroin), anorexia, and BPD. Not like RDJ at all. I’m not saying his situation was good but when you add BPD & Anorexia onto drug addiction, it’s a whole different story,

ReplyDelete@Aquagirl, this would definitely explain her history of cutting and self-harm. In doing more reading into BPD, there can be overlap with elements of histrionic personality disorder. I bet it was ROUGH on her having to do the double mastectomy and full hysterectomy, from a hormonal and self-esteem perspective since she readily fell back on her sex appeal to get what she wanted.
