Blind Item #11
This foreign born A list mostly movie actress who is an Academy Award winner/nominee has no idea whether her ex actually has poisoned people BUT is very familiar with his complaints toward the company he thinks is monopolizing the rum business.
Which Oscar winning actress did Clooney date?
ReplyDeleteCharlize dated Clooney in 2000
ReplyDeleteIt's kind of a big jump from bitching about monopolies to poisoning people.
ReplyDeleteRenee Zellwegger/Kenny Chesney???
ReplyDelete1charlize but Clooney owned tequila not rum
ReplyDeleteCharlize Theron/Sean Penn
ReplyDeleteWho I guessed on other blind (as well as Clooney). Wasn’t sure he had a rum company or shares though.

ReplyDeleteNM. Bridget Jones is a Texan....
ReplyDeleteCharlize has excellent taste in men there, no wonder she's making her adopted son wear dresses.
ReplyDeleteThe Ches is the only one I know of with a rum line
ReplyDeleteKenny Chesney and Sammy Hagar have rum lines according to this:
ReplyDeletehttps://people.com/food/celebrity-liquor-brands-wine-tequila-rum/#sammy-hagar
Bacardi is stellar booze. Captain Morgans is for broads and queers.
ReplyDeleteSammy Hagar also has a line of rum.
ReplyDeletewhoops, too slow to post.
ReplyDeleteArent RZ's parents Swiss? so the foreign born could be a mistake? Kind of like Don McClean being in a band or Carla Bruni being an actress.
ReplyDeleteFather - Swiss-German
DeleteMother - Nordic, leaning towards Norway and possible Sami ancestry, Finnish, Swedish..
The usual suspects
The only thing is that Renee is not foreign born and Chesney's other actress ex has not been Oscar nommed.
ReplyDeleteI think the original blind also stated the person is a Permanent A list actor...?
ReplyDeleteClooney and Gerber sold Casamigos, otherwise I would wonder if they were trying to branch out into rum. I wonder if they still have a finger in the pie there though.
ReplyDeleteThis sounds like a continuation of the DR blinds, only the product is rum, not whiskey. And, this would be Charlize knowing of SP's complaints about the dominant rival brand.
ReplyDeleteThis is flat out creepy!
Clooney sold his TEQUILA company.
ReplyDeleteSean penn has a Haitian rum company and Charlize know she hates his competition. Poisons the batch of rum that was used to fill mini bar bottles. Batch sent to Dominican resorts. Case closed
ReplyDeleteRon Jeremy has a rum line called Ron de Jeremy.
ReplyDeleteWell it's a rum do and no mistake.
ReplyDeleteHey, called it on the rum! Cool. Sounds like Sean Penn/Charlize are the odds on favorites now.
ReplyDeleteLook, this is silly unless BP or George Clooney own local homemade rum businesses. What's happening in the DR is obvious. The resorts are selling their clientele top shelf booze, making out invoices saying they're serving top shelf booze, but instead are subbing it with some locally made hooch that's high in ethanol which is poisoning their visitors, and pocketing the difference. A lot of times the local authorities are in on the schemes themselves, getting a taste of the profits to turn a blind eye.
ReplyDeleteSouth and Central America is run solely on grift, corruption, and powered by the cartels.
Stay outta there, ffs.
They just see Americans as the ultimate marks, don't be naive.
I read today about that the poison is a mosquito pesticide. If so that's intentional, like the 1982 tyelenal cyanide poisonings in Chicago.
ReplyDeleteThough what Hollenbec is saying follows Occam's Razor, and is the most logical answer.
I have all these friends who travel to places like this, and even on high end resorts, it's as safe in as far as their hires.
Thank heavens I only drink Appleton rum. Having cared for patients injured in third world countries if you vacation internally please buy the travel insurance that provides for air transportation home. It's worth every penny if you need it.
ReplyDeleteMorninglorrie got it. It's got to be Sean Penn, Charlize Theron and a batch shipped to the Dominican Republic. Scary. Penn is a psychopath.
ReplyDeletePenn/Theron
ReplyDeleteCount, Bacardi is trash. Cuba makes the best rum but, since we can’t get it here easily, you should try Mount Gay or Cockspur Rum. You should be able to find Cockspur in the NY Metro area. Both are Bajan and Cockspur is so gotdamn smooth, they barely make enough to supply the island, let alone the world.
ReplyDeleteI'm not lookin for a sippin rum, weekitty, just something to put in coca cola when i am playing catch up at the bar.
Delete+1 Ann, I've known people that got stuck in hospitals in other countries, would have been more convenient to be local.
ReplyDeleteI always go for vodka, easier to see or taste if something is amiss, plus works great in a water bottle. ;)
ReplyDeleteBushmills whiskey for me. I love Black Bush. And also the whiskey.
ReplyDeleteAppleton's is great, as is Mount Gay. I met the actor Craig McGinlay who plays Captain Morgan in commercials, on one of those gigs, awesome guy.
ReplyDeleteIf this blind is true, and there are people poisoning others for profit indirectly, then I hope they get everything that is coming to them.
Wasn't Sean Penn part of how they captured El-Chapo? This would be a great way to get back at him.
+1:@Ann. Plus it covers other things such as travel delays and it’s quite inexpensive.
ReplyDelete@HushHush: I rarely drink rum but definitely vote for Mount Gay and/or Goslings
Waiting for the Count to comment on Vic’s last post.... 😏
ReplyDeleteMango: u like vic, i prefer the choco taco to be shaved or waxed.
Delete*unlike
DeleteUmmm her ex had major money before the liqor company. Hes not poisoning innocent strangers. These poisonings are being done by a local with a grudge against the resort or a sick fetish to watch people in trauma.
ReplyDeleteCould we actually be seeing the results of a water hygiene issue in DR? Watered down drinks plus unsafe water is likely to affect people from countries with relatively safe and reliable water supplies. Bottled drinks are generally regarded as safe but if they’re being refilled or watered down just to cut costs, the risks would fall disproportionately on American tourists. (Though I still find it weird there are no reports of Canadians, Aussies, Brits...)
ReplyDeleteWell into the 20th century it was common for Westerners to dress their sons in dresses, for boys. FDR and Dewey both have portraits of them in dresses. Same is true in numerous works of art. I cracked up the first time I realized it was boys in dresses in all those French paintings. Funny, but true. Not defending Theron, just humorous.
