I went to Mystic Pizza in Mystic, Conn back in the 80's. GODAWFUL pizza. So disappointing. I wasn't expecting anything fantastic, but edible would've been nice.
Pies from “Waitress,” food from “Like Water for Chocolate,” Clemenza’s spaghetti sauce, Dornish wine, and the candies/treats from the original Willy Wonka.
On a yellow Fiestaware plate - Aunt Meg's steak and eggs, and mashed potatoes with her gravy, because Meg's gravy is famous, it's practically a food group. (TWISTER)
And a $5 dollar milkshake - Martin and Lewis, please. It's just milk and ice cream. They don't put bourbon or nothin' in it. It's a pretty fucking good milkshake. (PULP FICTION)
Honorable mentions:
Minny's fried chicken (THE HELP) Fat Pete Clemenza's Spaghetti Sauce (THE GODFATHER) Leftover BBQ ribs & Spanish olives (9 TO 5) Julie's Boeuf Bourguignon (JULIE AND JULIA) Whatever that frozen thing that Rusty is eating at the dog track with Saul (OCEAN'S ELEVEN)
Nothing comes to mind but maybe Mildred Pierce's pie?
All the food talk got my mind to wandering to charbroiled oysters...from ACME in New Orleans. It's my worst craving since I left the city and when I think about them I can smell them. It's torture.
i would love to taste the incredible spread that Hannibal Lecter presented. The one that Jack Crawford managed to take away with him for testing.the presentation was fabulous. everything food related in that series was stupefying.
