Its our future to go to space. Earth is fucked in a billion years anyway so why stay on Earth?

  5. I do like the Mars show on the National Geographic channel. It gives a quasi-real-fiction take on what colonizing Mars would be like. *spoiler alert* corporations ruin it!

  6. AOC should be the first to volunteer since she thinks the world is gonna end in 12 years anyway

  7. Ho.

Then, again, once the planet is dead from over population, maybe a few will be lucky enough to survive in weightlessness -- before they die, too!

So, maybe for a short, short time.

  8. Depends on whether or not you think we can get past the Van Allen radiation belts. Unless we already have, and not in the traditional “rocket ship” way, but by portals/teleportation. Eisenhower’s granddaughter had some interesting things to say about it all.

  12. We are the aliens on this planet. Ancient aliens at that. Our future selves, our future beings, are on another planet in a parallel universe.

  13. Not with our current human bodies.

  14. Wasn't there going to be a reality show where the cast was given one-way tickets to a Mars compound? They even had a cast selected.

  15. Giant R - civilization as we know it will be destroyed in the next 150 years and the planet will be a pockmarked barren wasteland of death and water purifiers.

    1. Completely agree... except I think it’s shorter. Scientists and climatologists now say we have about 15 years from complete environmental collapse. Live your lives, people. Whether we believe them or not, live out your last years happily and kindly and drink all the champagne!

  16. @hiyosilvergirl - mine would make a better reality show with recognizable landmarks - maybe we can send some apes

  17. If people get out of Elon Musk’s way and let him pave the way for human life outside of earth then yes. Frankly, unless Elon is literally eating babies or is a mass murderer, he should be left to do whatever he wants because this dude is super human. People like Elon Musk Are far more interesting than some dizzy celebrity and their self created problems. I live in west Hollywood and see TV/Music/Film/ stars on a daily basis doing errands. I think many of you would be surprised to learn that some of the hottest men and women on TV and in films look painfully average without make up. In fact, without thousands of dollars in bling, haute couture, And a make up artist who basically has to airbrush their face on every morning, most would barely hit a seven on the 1 to 10 scale. Worse than that, most of them are not too bright. People like Elon Musk, Physicist Lisa Randall, Richard Branson, and many other forward thinking entrepreneurs and scientists are just so much more interesting and important to society and our daily lives then a bunch of pampered, narcissistic, marginally talented celebrities. With that said, I consider this site and others like it local news. I like to know what my neighbors are getting up to. We are completely destroying this planet and we’re gonna need another one soon so we are better hope that Current space exploration succeeds or we’re screwed.

  18. It's why developing AI is important, so someone will remember us when we're gone. Human beings aren't built for space travel.

  19. i bet we already do.

  20. @ Pshitonomics-
What's with the blow job for Elon Mush? He's a complete fraud. He's another one of these actors playing eccentric billionaires while NASA and DARPA and all that old Nazi science steals our money to develop better espionage and spying techniques. The Zuck is just as big a fraud. Overage adolescents don't get to make billions of dollars. They are fantasy figures, economic versions of Hollywood glamour. Some clown to distract you while you wait for your next boner and can switch back to porn.

  21. Lol. I concur with sub-d

  22. No way I would leave earth, only to live in misery in another planet. I'm happy being miserable here on earth and I prefer to die in my home planet.

  23. "Fuck off earth assholes, we're full."

  25. Unfortunately, it seems like no shortage of people that are already living in outer space.

  26. Unless we have another tech revolution and develop ways to teleport or wormhole through lightyears of distance (don't know the correct space terms), we'll kill ourselves off long before we get anything going. But, hey, we've got plenty of Influencers telling us how to look fabulous in the process.

  27. Yes! And trump should build a tall hotel. But first, lets all chip in and send him on a fact finding mission to Mars.

    ReplyDelete
  28. I mean, don't we already?

    ReplyDelete
  29. In outer space? ......no, you can't produce resources out of thin air.

    On a different planet?...... maybe.

No. Unless there is a new Einstein born who directs all his intelligence and energy toward changing space/time travel as we know it. It's simply not practical or possible with what we know today, or at least with what we are told we know today.
