Your Turn

Who has been the best James Bond?

52 comments:

  1. Sean Connery, hands down.

Then Daniel Craig, then George Lazenby. I will fight you on this.

  2. Well it's definitely not Brosnan.

  3. I liked Pierce Brosnan but that’s bc I’m a ‘90s kid’ and he was the first James Bond I ever saw

  4. George Lazenby followed by Timothy Dalton.

  5. Sean Connery, then George Lazenby. I cried when Diana Rigg died.

  8. No love for Roger Moore? 😩

  9. It would be awesome if they made the new ones like period films, Mad Men with spy sh!t.

  10. I am also a 90's kid, so when I think of Bond i think of Brosnan. Never really cared about Bonds, but I have seen the newest ones, so I'll go with Craig.

  11. Connery and Craig were the Bonds closest to the book Bond. He wasn't suave, he wasn't clownish, he was a weapon.

The books are awful and great all at the same time- awful because Ian Fleming was a racist, misogynist douchbag, but great because they're small, intimate. Not "I'M GOING TO DESTROY THE EARTH" but "Hey- this bad guy keeps luring people to his poison garden to kill themselves- can you uh... stop him from doing that?" (You Only Live Twice is my fave)

Sean Connery will always be my Bond. I liked Pierce Brosnan in Goldeneye though.

  16. Exactly what I wish Brayson. Bond doesn't need a Swiss Army knife worth of electronic toys. A martini, a cigarette, a fitted suit and an attitude along with one or two small mission specific toys. That's the Bond I wanted to be when I saw Connery do his thing as a lad of seven.

  17. I am not really a big Bond fan, but i liked Moore and craig and i thought Brosnan was a good fit for the role.

  18. I feel like I'm the only person in the world who has never watched a Bond movie!!
I've seen bits and pieces. On a looks basis, I would probably pick Connery.

  20. I like Roger Moore, I find quite a few of his movies entertaining, Live and Let Die, The Man with the Golden Gun, even A View to a Kill, he's just not my favorite.

My least favorite is Daniel Craig but mostly because I don't find the movies he's in that compelling.

  21. Sean Connery. Second best is James Coburn (In Like Flint).

  22. I liked the first Bind movie Craig was in because it was really the first time they allowed Bond to make mistakes.

  23. Tom Cruise!

Okay, that was just for laughs!

  24. Sean Connery 😍😍😍

  25. TBH, I dont really like any of them.

But I love Roger Moore in this old 1960s UK TV show called The Saint.

  26. 1. Connery
    2. Sir Roger Moore
    3. Tim Dalton
    4. Pierce Borsan.

  27. Sistahgirl--In like Flint was a fun movie!😁

When I think of Bond, my mind still sees Connery. Timothy Dalton was most jarring for me. However, Ive actually liked each of them in his own right, depending more upon the quality of the overall movie.

Brayson-- I totally dig the retro idea!😍

  29. Sean Connery! Roger Moore always gave me the creeps.

  30. Craig is just a no class thug. Connery has charm.

  31. Sean Connery (and I love Enty's story about him!)

  32. For me it goes in this order...

    1. Daniel Craig (I love the dark and grittiness of his Bond and he's hot!)
    2. Roger Moore (he was the Bond of my childhood and therefore has a special place in my heart)
    3. Timothy Dalton (Love the darkness of his Bond and one of the better actors to play him)
    4. Sean Connery (Had an issue with the way he treated women so that is why he is not number 1)
    5. Pierce Brosnan (I liked him better as Remington Steele and he had the crappiest scripts to play with)
    6. George Lazenby (Yeah...he's the forgotten one for good reason)

  33. Sir Roger Moore was James Bond when I was a child and is probably my favourite. Timothy Dalton is the most underrated. He was perfect as '80s Bond and doesn't get the credit he deserves. Daniel Craig is perfect for a modern Bond.

In truth, all the Bonds were right for their era..even Brosnan.

  34. Sean Connery, no question.

  35. Sean and then Roger. No comment beyond that because I haven't seen any of the others. =)

Sean had the swagger while Roger had a hint of tongue-in-cheek humor.

  36. Connery, Sean Connery.

    Brosnan was enjoyable

Lazenby was trolling everyone but on Her Majesty's Secret Service isn't bad. The original Casino Royal with David Niven and Woody Allen as Bond was OK.

    Timothy Daltons Bond was alright

I snooze thru the current guy. Daniel Craig?

Roger Moore was playing Simon Templar

And the 1950' s TV version of Casino Royale, with CIA agent Jimmy Bond played by Barry Nelson and MI 6 agent Felix Leighter was really really bad.

  37. Pierce Brosnan. Love him, he’s one of the very few truly handsome celebrities (imo of course). He’s just what I picture as Bond.

  38. Brosnan......perhaps because I think the Bond movies he was in were the best. He had charm, humour, suave good looks and wasn't too thuggish.

Craig is a charmless, humourless, pouty, grouch face.

Moore was charming but too campy as were the Bond movies he helmed and he never seemed convincing when it came to the fistycuffs.

Connery after Brosnan because he always had that dangerous edge but re run his Bond movies and they aren't as good as you remember.

  39. Sean Connery..., He had me at Thunderball!

  40. One's first Bond is usually their favourite Bond.

    ReplyDelete
  41. For pure James Bond, I'll say Sean Connery.

For James Bond in on the joke, Roger Moore.
