It turns out this former A- list mostly television actress had all the power. The actress, who had a couple of hit shows, but nothing for quite some time was added to the new reboot of one of the hits much to the chagrin of the two people who proposed the idea. They couldn't get a greenlight without our actress though.

ReplyDeleteHopefully theyll have good writers who will do justice to all characters and pay proper respect to loss of luke/dylan. I think the show has infinite more potential with brenda in the mix.

ReplyDeleteShe's actually an executive producer on the show. But apparently they are not playing their characters. They are playing "heightened" versions of their real self (Whatever that means). Shannen was always my favorite. It was always Dylan and Brenda for me. I know Shannen had a bad reputation, but I hardly believe those other two were prefect. Let's put it this way Tori was lucky she was the creators daughter...she couldn't act for

Shannen Doherty used to attend Satanic rituals as a young actress, along with Melissa Gilbert. I don't know about Doherty, but Gilbert is alleged to have abused and nearly killed one child.

DeleteI really hate learning this stuff sometimes. When I was young, I thought "Darlene" was cool. A bit mean, but cool, and I wanted to be more like her. Never succeeded and am glad for it now. But can't help but feel duped when learning these things. Which is stupid at this point; I've been digging in the rabbit hole long enough I should assume it of anyone with longevity in The Biz.
Yet I still don't want to know about Weird Al. I suspect things. I'm fairly certain about my suspicions. But I don't want them confirmed. I can't even listen to Nirvana's anthem (or other songs he's parodied) without hearing Al. Its both awesome and awful.

After all these years, and Shannen's cancer ordeal, Luke dying, and Tori's sideshow of a life, they really are still holding grudges?
