Blind Item #7

It was nice of this trade to finally acknowledge that this foreign A++ list film festival has evolved into just an elaborate cover for yachting. If they had wanted to be helpful though, they could have called out all the producers/directors/buyers/actors who fuel that business.

  5. Sex Trafficking Mars the Mystique of Cannes Film Festival: "This Crime Is Significantly Underreported"

  6. I was just reading it.... honestly they have been covering this for years. Just google cannes and yachting... HWR started writing about this over a decade ago. And yet it’s still happening. It’s not going to stop. That whole times up thing was utter nonsense ruined by clowns like Asia Argento and other women that voilenteered themselfes to these men willingly and are just angry their careers didn’t pan out. It’s atrocious to people like myself that are actually victims of real abuse, it is completely sickening.

  7. This is not news. Everyone knows what Cannes is for.

  8. The article mentions two actresses who got their careers started yachting, but doesn't out them. Any ideas who they might be?

  9. There's sex trafficking where someone kidnaps children and sells them.

And then there's brainless models going to Cannes to fuck for quick cash and champagne.

    Not the same thing.

  10. So what is the crime?
    Someone under age?

  12. Thanks for the link, Brayson

  13. Enty isn't implying anything illegal.

  14. Once again I agree with J.

  15. I agree with J also. Giving a blow job for a role in Shakespeare in Love (looks at you, Goop) is not sex trafficking.

  16. Cannes wasn't known for anything else prior to the film festival. So yeah, yachting brings in a lot of money. Of course it's a front.

  17. There's something about the term "yachting" that I just love. It's just so subtly snarky.

    Actress/model/hooker...

I never realized until recently that those categories overlapped so much. It's both amazing and interesting.
