Blind Item #2

Sometimes a really big check is written and everyone knows there is a settlement. So, even though no one admits anything, whoever pays is usually in the wrong. What if, as part of your payment though, you get someone to say they were in the wrong. That would be a nice way to settle a suit involving a hit show on a streaming service.

  6. A boy.
I really thought it would be a girl.
At any rate, he's here. Maybe she didn't really give birth, maybe it was a surrogate. But he's here.
Thankgod. this comment section had me worried.

I bet it's a darling little boy too.

  10. Im sold on the Stranger Things suit, but how would the people accusing say they were wrong? Hoping no one found out about the settlement, so it just looks like, "Oh, ya know what? They didn't steal my idea, I don't know what I was thinking!". Who would buy that?

  14. On that topic, Viking Song, your husband's probably forgotten how, since you present him such a smouldering erotic treat.

Just kidding, I feel for that hell-dwelling fool.

  15. @Rosie, Home birth, less witnesses ;)

    https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/8787586/meghan-markle-gives-birth-royal-baby/

"The as-yet-unnamed baby boy is believed to have been born in the sanctuary of Frogmore Cottage - the Sussexes' home on the Windsor Estate."

"Reports had previously suggested they could opt for a home birth at Frogmore Cottage or at the Kensington wing of the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital where pals George Clooney's wife Amal had their children.

There was also speculation they might choose an NHS hospital in Surrey, the Frimley Park hospital, which is just 15 miles away from their home."

  18. +1@Weekitylass! @J you crack me up with your dry humour. (You come across as intelligent and erudite as well.) It's like you say something outrageous and then wait to see if the bait is taken! Over here (in the U.K) you would be called a wind-up merchant ;)

  20. Don't know how anyone could accuse Stranger Things of plagiarism, since it's scripts are basically a mash of 80s alien and horror films.

    1. I'll save this last for plot.

It seems I was wrong about you.
Although we don't agree on many points, it's come to my attention that you're right about many things regarding this place.
      My apologies.

  21. It's shady if this guy really did come to them first about Montauk.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stranger_Things#Production

"Montauk is an eight-hour sci-fi horror epic. Set in Long Island in 1980 and inspired by the supernatural classics of that era, we explore the crossroads where the ordinary meet the extraordinary...emotional, cinematic and rooted in character, Montauk is a love letter to the golden age of Steven Spielberg and Stephen King – a marriage of human drama and supernatural fear."

    I'm the hilarious one.

In a battle of the wits, you are unarmed.

  25. This thread got hijacked by the baby.

Kessler definitely got paid off by Netflix and the Duffers. No doubt in my mind. If Kessler and his *paid on contingency* attorney really didn't want to go to trial, they would have pulled out a few months ago, before pricey depositions and lots of court filings. Something happened over the weekend.

Also, if there was no settlement, both sides would be yammering away. But both sides are declining to comment. Settlement!! With a tight muzzle.

  26. Maybe Sparkle's baby is a girl trapped in a boy's body. She can make the nanny raise her/him gender neutral get lots of press and join "the club" everyone was talking about.
