Apparently the foreign born former A/A- list singer turned reality judge told her fellow band members that she was getting medical treatment. Umm, is partying medical treatment?
Oh I'm not knocking the historical and cultural context, just the recent trendy psychological application of it. Every five to ten years there's some new technique or strategy that people jump on, they're like fad diets. By the time data comes out showing they're not very effective there's already a new whatever for people to hop on.
I'm just giving my experience with Mindful Meditation...I went through a Traumatic Brain Injury(TBI) a few years ago and had several months of specialized treatment for same. One of my therapies was mindful meditations. They 100% worked for me, albeit on a temporary basis. It was a daily or twice daily practice for me based on my level of sadness, anxiety, etc. It really does help declutter my mind, identify my goal(s), and decide on a reasonable path to my desired outcome.
