  7. My high school A & P teacher - he used a college textbook, for one. He procured animal organs that resembled/ similar to the human body. (Lung inflation was a big shocker to small groups). We typed blood, ran urinalysis - things students today cannot do due to HIV/ HEP etc. I learned so much for him - I breezed through my freshman college A&P courses.

  8. Mr. Spohn. I met him when I was 17 and my dad died when I was 18, so, in many ways, he was like a second father to me. Teacher, mentor, father figure, friend. Unfortunately he died last year. He was one of the few people in the world who could make me laugh until I had tears streaming down my face. I miss him.

  20. My Humanities Professor, Dr. T. He was a brilliant Southern Baptist music minister who lost his wife and though it shhok his faith, he was a pretty decent guy. Heasked us to reflect on Rembrandt, Botticelli, daVinci, Mozart, etc., and all that they left behind for us, centuries later. He asked us if we were going to squueze everything we could out of life and leave nothing behind, or were we going to do our best to leave a legacy for others. Loved that man!! And speaking of former teachers you are FB friends with...I went to my high school reunion this past summer in Florida. I left shortly after hs and just returned to the beach town recently. Sitting w/hubby @ the bar and this guy is talking to us. I knew the face and so I finally asked him why he was so familiar? Turns out his mom was my favorite teacher in hs. We are now buddies on fb. She was also quite the character, best teachers ar!!
