Blind Items Revealed #3

March 4, 2019

For three days in a row, this A list dual threat actor who has multiple Emmy wins/nominations but surprisingly doesn't have any Oscar nominations was filming in a public place. There were fans watching and every time without fail he would walk back to his trailer, a fan would ask him for his autograph or photo and each time, no matter the age, sex or race he would tell them to "F**k off."

Jeff Daniels

  1. WOW. I don't think anyone called this one.

Disappointing. But I'm glad John Goodman has retained his good guy image.

  4. kudos to you then, Alf.

And I am going to pretend I didn't see anyone ask "who?" about Jeff "Terms Of Endearment" "Dumb and Dumber" "The Purple Rose of Cairo" "Pleasantville" "The Newsroom" Daniels.

  5. Kfitz dumb and dumber with Jim Carrey

  6. He was just recreating a scene from the set of Dumb and Dumber when he asked the producers, "Hey guys, how about you give me just a quarter of what Jim is getting?"

And also the scene soon afterwards when his agent asked for a contract extension.

  7. I'm no expert, but depending on what kind of character he's playing maybe it's hard for him to jump from one mode--like mean killer--to a approachable guy off camera. Of course there's no excuse for rudeness.

Truth is ,nobody really know how acting works. Even the greats are hard pressed to explain what they do. I like Jeff Bridges, too.

  8. He’s always excellent and unsung. Clearly doesn’t kiss the ass needed to get awards. Marries his college sweetheart and raised his family in Michegan, where he runs a theater company. Who cares that he doesn’t want people bothering him when he’s working?

i was heartbroken that this could have been John Goodman.

  12. Okay, so if a bunch of people came to your place of work every day and asked you annoying questions and demanded your signature, you'd be all sweetness and light?

  13. He should be happy anyone noticed him

  14. It's disappointing to hear any celebrity would act like this, but he was in the middle of filming and some actors like to stay "in character" plus it must be annoying after you have been famous for so long to constantly have people asking you for an autograph. I don't blame them if they are out in public trying to enjoy a meal with family or friends and people constantly interrupt their personal time.

  15. Jeff should have invited the fans into his trailer to watch him re-enact the toilet scene from "Dumb and Dumber."

  16. He was simply using terms of endearment. What a mean dry-drunk he is!

  17. I’m naively hopefully and agree with AListDiva...staying in character? Some roles can be emotionally taxing and too difficult to simply shut off.

    Or, he’s an asshole.

  18. My husband and I were extras for the film Gods and Generals. When my husband and his fellow reenactors were gathering to film the Battle of Fredericksburg, almost all of the actors except Daniels met and chatted with the extras. My husband and his friends all got the sense Jeff Daniels acted like he was above all of that stuff.

    His prerogative, I guess.

Not for nothing, but I heard that when the Union reenactors were making a charge in battle with Daniels (as Chamberlain) leading the charge, Bruce Boxleitner (who portrayed Confederate General Longstreet) yelled "Here comes Dumb, Dumber, Dumbass!"

Just a couple little stories from my brush with the movies.

  19. Keeping hope alive, AListDiva! Could have gotten same point across with a wave and shake of head, "sorry, not today," or just a blinders-on trot to the door. Tho, to be honest, he probably would have gotten just as much grief.

Hmm, anyways, apologies to John Goodman!😬

He was really good in Welcome Home, Roxy Carmichael, too. Very underrated movie, with a young Winona Ryder as well.

  22. how disappointing

  23. That's disappointing. I really didn't see that one coming.

  24. At least he is an equal opportunity asshole. He does not make exceptions for the young, beautiful, and nubile, like other asshole actors.

    ReplyDelete
  25. I'm surprised. Have heard he was super nice. Someone I had hung out with a decade ago dated his niece and said he was awesome. Glad it is not Goodman, though.

  26. Jeff Daniels, really? Why ya gotta be so mean?

  28. Wow, I actually thought he was one of the nice guys...

  29. For some reason, now that I know who this was, I'm finding it kind of funny. Goes WAY against the image I had of him. Maybe like an off-duty Bugs Bunny, chain-smoking and cursing out children. Don't approve, of course, but it makes me laugh.

  30. One of my underrated faves, 3 Days in the Valley, he played this really bitter, nonredeemable racist cop whose family had left him. Maybe it was another role like that. I can see that person saying those things.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Oops, sorry, Two days in the Valley. Maybe it just seemed longer.

  32. There are many ways to stay in character and/or maintain privacy rather than telling fans to ‘f*** off.’ I pretty much forgot that this guy existed, and now I’ll make it a point to do so. The only positive note about all of these assholes is that I’m saving tons of $ on movie tickets. In the past, I generally went to the movies once per week. Now, the list is getting so long of actors who are on my ‘do not see’ list: let’s start with Casey Affleck, James Franco, and Meryl Streep just to name a few. And forget about the directors. I feel bad for the co-stars, but if you’re going to choose to work with an asshole, sorry, I can’t support your career.

  33. Does anyone remember Something Wild? LOVE THAT MOVIE

  34. He's lucky to still have jobs. Sad he's become a grumpy old man!

Was that the one with a very young Melanie Griffiths?

  36. "Woody said i was good and if I'm good enough for woody allen then I'm good enough for anybody"

    - Jeff Daniels

  37. - worked with a pedo (woody allen)
    - played a pedo on stage (Black Bird)
    - played a pompous PC cunt (The Newsroom)

there was a post on 4chan recently that exposed jeff Daniels

  38. And when and where did this happen? Couldn’t have been recently as he’s starring on Broadway and has been doing the full compliment of shows, with matinees, since November.

Good for him, annoying people, like obsessed zombies clawing at them begging them if they can touch, smell, get a picure, etc
    Creepy people not creepy Jeff
