Blind Item #9
The local law enforcement is looking the other way when the celebrity CEO does something naughty. Those weekly payoffs are too nice to cause any trouble. It will definitely be up to a higher authority to do anything.

ReplyDeleteI'd rather go for the local law enforcement since it's probably mine.
ReplyDeleteAnd wouldn't you know Tesla stock is up 2% today too.
ReplyDeleteHigher authority meaning GOD?
ReplyDeleteHrmm... Musk was the first to pop into my head, but barely beat out King Whackadoodle David Miscavige $cientology
ReplyDeleteI’m going with Bezos. Seattle police have been paid off before and there is a big stink over the head tax proposed by a city council last year, which Bezos said Amazon would leave Seattle if it was approved. Amazon then leased some buildings in Bellevue to further make their point
ReplyDeleteBellevue is far and above the better choice, for aesthetics alone.
DeleteI was in downtown Seattle this weekend and it is a SHITHOLE now. Just so, so bad. It used to be beautiful
This blind has the stench of Bezos all over it. Hopefully the feds have an undercover operation in progress since Trump hates Bezos.
ReplyDeleteThe Head Tax was shot down hardcore. No one wants it except the City Council. It would hurt our beloved Dicks Drive in and no one wants that type of blood on their hands. ;) There's actually nothing in the air about a new head tax or anything with Amazon here. The only thing brewing in Seattle is concern about how the recent plane crash in Ethiopia could potentially affect Boeing as the 737 Max 8 is produced here (and that could impact jobs if countries keep grounding their 737 Max fleet).
ReplyDeleteFurther, Bezos doesn't live in Seattle. He lives in Medina which is on the other side of Lake Washington where Gates lives (just outside of Bellevue). Amazon might be in Seattle, but with the new Police Chief and extra scrutiny on SPD after all the drama in the past few years, Chief Carmen Best wouldn't risk that.
Whenever Enty uses the phrase "celebrity CEO" he pretty much alludes every time to Elon Musk in some medium or another. *shrugs*
The US just grounded all 737s. It's raining tears in Seattle as well as rain.

ReplyDeleteIt's why we'll never have flying cars, some minor glitch and everyone plummets. Still like the idea of hover trains though.
ReplyDeleteChrist, Bray, we can't even manage a board like Marty McFly's how the fuck are we going to do a whole train?
ReplyDeleteI know, maglev, but that's a bit like cheating.
Unless Elon is a serial killer or child molester, LEAVE HIM ALONE! Our society is circling the drain and we are trying to bring down the few visionaries like Musk who gives us some hope for the future. He can bang the whole of the Hollywood Actress pool whilst shooting heroin into his eye so long as he continues to offer us a better future through applying science and general awesomeness. In a world of vacuous Instagram whores and thugs we desperately need a Rocket Man to remind us that the future does not have to be a dystopian nightmare. SPACE X, Tesla, and The Boring Company create infinitely more value than endless streams of Kardashian ass pix and thugs rapping about banging bitches and starting shit with other equally useless ghetto scum.
ReplyDelete@Vic, In the US I think we'll invent teleporters before we ever master mass transit. It's too bad incompetence can't be used as alternative energy. Like putting that low energy ethanol into the petrol. Now we get worse mileage and destroy our engines, great plan 👍
ReplyDeleteRemember when there were no celebrity CEOs? Now we have a multitude to choose from...
ReplyDeleteWe've always had celebrity CEOs and business leaders. I mean Howard Hughes immediately springs to mind, Andrew Carnagie, Andrew & Richard Mellon, Warren Buffet, then you have the Rockefellers, the Onassises, the Vanderbilts, the Waltons, etc. Many of these guys absolutely frequented elite parties and rubbed shoulders with Hollywood celebrities. They were definitely celebrities in their own rights here in the US, but the media wasn't around in the same way it was (with the exception of Buffet - he seems to get his fair share of media play). But they definitely existed.
ReplyDeleteThank you Athena for your comments.
ReplyDeleteEnty, if/when you eventually get Azealia Banks on te podcast, please give the woman 2 hours straight to talk.
ReplyDeleteBezos
ReplyDeleteMiscavige would be in my neck of the woods. I've SEEN the town be strangled like kudzu on an tree.
ReplyDeleteMusk, Amazon fool of the day, to date a woman who has cheated with every man she's ever had.
ReplyDeleteThey had a list of men they interviewed and the all said the same, once she received the engagement ring, she started cheating on them
and they had no choice but to separate from her and she will not give you the ring back.. Only one of the went to the police and they escorted him to her place and this man received his 300K back from her cheating ass.. She feels nothing for you once that ring is on her finger..
