Blind Item #6

This former college superstar turned NFL burnout told the world he would never sign with a certain league. He also said he would never cheat on his wife. He did both.

  1. Yeah I remember him always being on the news a few years ago. And not for anything good ya know?!

Well that explains the DM article today that Manziel's wife removed all photos and references to her husband on her IG account.

  4. My husband is friends with his little brother here in TX. He's a nice kid, a little unreliable on being on time for work (but what Gen-Z-er is?), but good work ethic otherwise. I feel bad for him and his family with that walking buffoon always being in the news for the wrong reasons.

  5. Did anyone hear about the cheating scandal his wife is in—-she claims that she ran world record pace to finish a half marathon, while “running” the first half at 15:00/miles. Everyone else claims she cut the course.

  6. @Troy Yaaaas! Wasn't it reported that it wasn't just a personal best, but an all-time record-breaker? Geez, what is with all the cheating? What happened to the satisfaction of actual accomplishment?? It feels WAY better than falsely gained accolades and instagram likes.

    1. I think she finished in 1:58, which is a good time - my PB in the half is 1:49:59 (eeeek)- but she claimed to have not done any training and the evidence shows that not only did she miss a mat (to record your time and make sure you didn’t cut the course), but she ran the last half in four minute miles, which the guys that did breaking 2 couldn’t even do that pace.
I think it’s sad that she is doubling down and says she ran it, when the evidence + witnesses say otherwise, just to boost her training business. Why would anyone want to be a client of a cheater?!?

This concludes our episode of “Running Rants with Troy Dyer”

  8. Manziel played briefly, badly, in the Canadian Football League (CFL). Apparently his contract had stipulations, probably no drugs, drinking, womanizing? Many NFL players have gone north and finished out their careers, and some have rebooted theirs (Doug Flutie, Jeff Garcia, Warren Moon). Johnny Football has had so many chances, and ability that only the football gods can give. The CFL is tough, QB's slide head first when running for first down. Manziel had his ass handed to him. Maybe he dance with the stars.

  13. Obviously Manziel. I saw how his wife erased him from her social media (on DM).

  14. @Troy, I was DYING laughing about her half marathon experience. She "ran" it in hot pink leggings and bra and hadn't even broken a sweat at the finish line, yet her first 6 point whatever miles were at 11 or 15 minute pace, then her back half of the 13.1 was at 4 minute mile pace, setting a world record.

I was dying laughing! If you're going to cheat, don't be so fucking stupid about it.

Oh! And the race was a fund raiser. Her "team" raised $65 for the charity.

  15. Why did she marry the drunken man-child in the first place?
