You would have to literally give this A+ list dual threat actress who is much more known for movies, $100M to get her to work on another season of the show she said she was done with after one season. To make matters worse for the second season, they hired even more A list people she doesn't like.
Nicole Kidman

ReplyDeletehow is nicole kidman a dual threat - does she sing?
ReplyDeleteeither way, yea this is Big Little Lies
Moulin Rouge
DeleteShe had a number one record in the UK with Robbie Wiiliams and sang in Moulin Rouge
DeleteShe had a minor hit with Robbie Williams (I think) around the time Moulin Rouge came out. She actually is a really good singer.
DeleteTheater or even now TV.
DeleteEnty doesn’t apply Double/Triple Threat in the conventional sense(eg-double talents). He applies it to mediums
ReplyDeleteShe does movies and TV which i thought was considered dual threat on the site.
ReplyDeleteWouldn’t the BLL cast already gotten paid though? I thought the second season was in the can already?
ReplyDeleteMeryl for Season 3 of BLL?
Julia Roberts for homecoming
ReplyDeleteWhy does she despise everyone?
ReplyDeletereese
ReplyDeleteHomecoming is a great guess, @Unknown - https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/live-feed/julia-roberts-wont-return-homecoming-season-2-1176515
ReplyDelete+1 Tricia, it's Reese
ReplyDeleteI would think this was Reese rather than Nicole. I mean, they hired Streep to play Nicole's mother-in-law -- it's hard to see why Nicole would resent that screen time. Reese, OTOH is potentially being drowned out by the talent. But then, of course, there is the simple artistic element that many opposed expanding the show beyond the original novel in the first place, so the motive could be much more than simple inter-personal edginess.
ReplyDeleteIsn't Reese the producer?
ReplyDeleteI think Reese is a producer so Kidman makes for sense.
ReplyDelete
ReplyDeleteReese optioned it.
They both exec produced it. Nicole is Perm A- here I believe
Big Little Lies (TV series)

But...but...I thought they were all besties now and soooooo close. π€ It was all an act?! π±
ReplyDeleteColor me shocked. π
I’m gonna throw Laura Dern’s name in the ring.
ReplyDeleteEnty has been tossing this b.s. around ever since they filmed the first episode and there has never been any evidence that there is discord between any of them or that any of them never wanted to do another season and now a third season. If one of them didn't want it done, it would have been killed.
ReplyDeleteYou'd think the accolades and popularity would squash any beefs amongst a gaggle of pros on BLL!
ReplyDeleteI'm going with unknown and Thia for this one, as Julia seems biggest name there (and also a rep for some decision making that can seem rather incongruous to the outsider).
David Kelly already said that this is a 2 season show. 2 and done. Yes Nicole said there was basically nothing set in stone, David said they pretty much finished it up with the Season 2 finale. That being said, the interviews all seem to indicate Nicole would be willing to do a season 2. So i doubt this is her, I guess I would have to say if anyone in that show this would be Reese.
ReplyDeleteOne thing Enty, i never had any plans to watch it, but read about it to many times here and dangit, binged it last weekend. I actually quite enjoyed it as a cold rainy day in with my pup.
Ok, Truthseeker...what breed of pup?π
ReplyDeleteNicole is triple threat, Movies/TV, Singer and Stage.
ReplyDeleteCan’t believe they had to ruin the show by hiring Meryl ‘I Knew Nothing About Harvey’ Streep. I hate that Bitch and she’s long past her sell-by date. She’s become a caricature of herself.
ReplyDeleteI TOTALLY agree!!! π©
DeletePlenty of blinds about how Meryl never had a problem having sex for a role. All in collegial friendliness mind you.
DeleteEntry revealed it was Reese on the basement blast tonight
ReplyDeleteAmy Adams was exhausted and depressed after s1 Sharp Objects
ReplyDeleteOk, Brad! Forgot all about that one! Seems like a great fit. Was that show any good? I couldn't get thru first episode, and never got around to trying again.
