ReplyDeleteI've said it before about Spike Lee, he's a racist punk. I did not watch but was so happy to see that he did not get what he wanted once again. I also wasn't surprised at his boorish behavior. He's an entitled a-hole who thinks he deserves it, and anything else is racism.

Did anybody see that Rami fell off stage going back to his seat? I only saw several still photos...he looks stunned and maybe bemusedly embarrassed, but they said the called medics to check him out!

I had no problem with his speech. I listened to all of it, I saw that he was trying to put the rest of his speech in context.
I think people rush to judgement when we hear people say the first sentence or two. The world will be much better if we do not interrupt others or tune them out.

ReplyDeleteSpike Lee's Malcolm X was ignored by the Academy. That is a great film and Denzel should have been nominated for best actor for his performance.

ReplyDeleteSpike's outfit was tribute to Prince. Prince financed Spike's 1st film She's Gotta Have It. No studio would risk money on an arty movie about a black woman's sexuality. This has only been revealed since his death.
