Pick any category for the Golden Globes this Sunday that you know for sure in your mind you know who/what is going to win. Then, come back and check on Monday if you are right.
everybody is saying that rami malek is going to win best actor in a drama and beat bradley cooper.
rami shouldnt win. he's also an amoral POS who thought nothing of signing up for a film with a predator of 30+ years of allegations attached. bUT OH hE's SO nIcE say the stans and bend-over film outlets. he doesnt care if he works with a rapist, he wants those awards.
I don't know if "Stan and Ollie" was released in time for awards season, but it is a wonderful film and I recommend it to anyone who loves Old Hollywood. John C Reilly and Steve Coogan are fantastic in it.
I don't know anything other than the Queen movie. Haven't been paying attention. I don't care for awards show blinds. I usually scroll right past them. Better than rappers, Kartrashians and Teen Moms though.
If actors refused to work with monsters, there wouldn't be any films left for us to watch. I don't get why Rami is getting singled out worse than anyone else.
I think Rachel Brasnahan will win again for the Marvelous Mrs. Masel. She is just wonderful, as is Alex Bornstein.
I also think that Matthew Rhys was incredible in The Americans as was she. They played so many roles in that show, including their "roles" as The Jennings. I really have't seen a more beautifully written and acted conclusion to a series like this show since Breaking Bad. Incredible stuff.
I have absolutely zero knowledge about who's nominated or what for. I intend to keep it that way, because really, who GAF? I've said it before and I'll say it again. Ignorance truly IS bliss.
I thought I found my calling as a shoe model, but they gave me the boot.

I loved Rami’s work in “Bohemian Rhapsody.” He deserves to win, and I hope he will.
ReplyDeleteWhatever the most "woke" nominee is.

Matthew Rhys (I wish The Americans and Keri would win too but doubt it)
The Assassination of Gianni Versace
Don't care about the Golden Globes. They are the HollywoodLife of awards shows. Okay, maybe the RadarOnline.

ReplyDelete@Jon, Oh Jon, stop trying to project your father's bathhouse proclivities onto others' parents. He still loves you. :)
ReplyDeleteAnd rumored closeted Richard Madden is probably the biggest cocksucker in his category, good guess. ;)

ReplyDeleteGotti Best picture.
ReplyDelete@mooshki, Or maybe they'd stop using monsters to make films? I don't recall child sacrifice being necessary to filmmaking.
ReplyDeleteThe only way I'll watch another award show is if the host makes fun of the attendees instead of the audience. Really miss Ricky Gervais!
ReplyDeletePeople I love never win.
ReplyDeleteIt's tragic that they are even considering this "gaga" person.
It shows the depth to which we have sunk.

ReplyDeleteI get the feeling A Star is Born will take out a lot of the awards.
