I have never made one. If I want to do something I do it. If I don't want to do something then usually I do not do it. I hope that is proper English, ha ha!
When I realized I was spending approximately $40 a week at Peet's and Starbucks my New Year's resolution for 2014 was to stop buying coffee at either place. I haven't gone back since December 2013.
No beer for ever. 10 days in and I don't miss it. Wine was a poor substitute and I don't miss that after 8 days. No, I don't believe in higher powers and I am not sorry for anything! Ta Daaaah!!!
In terms of NY’s resolutions, I’ve never made one. Part of that is that my birthday is in late January, and that’s when I think of beginning a new year. The other part is that I’m very disciplined, so I can decide to do (or not do) something at any time of the year. Don’t need the bs New Year’s resolutions that most people break by January 5th. It’s really a joke. Just ask all of the gyms that are going to sign up new members this week and they’ll show up twice, then quit.
To actually post here! My love of gossip is my secret shame. For years I've hidden myself away on work breaks, or excused myself to the bathroom to scroll through your posts each day. This year I'm...still gonna hide it, but secretly post here too. Small steps towards acceptance!
Don't do that anymore, fruitless endeavor.
ReplyDeleteI will stop pointing out how much Helen Mirren is a coke whore
ReplyDeleteI don't do resolutions anymore.
ReplyDeleteLurky promise you will bow to the Queen as well and I'll believe you! 🎀

ReplyDeleteGetting my love mojo back on course...
ReplyDeleteDon’t make any.
ReplyDeleteNone. If I need to sort out stuff, I do it in any moment of the year.
ReplyDeleteI set goals instead.

ReplyDeleteThat’s awesome!
DeleteI do goals for the year. Resolutikns are too final and I feel like a failure if I quit.
ReplyDeleteSaying no more often and going to bed before 11pm

ReplyDeleteI was just so grateful that awful f*cking year was over that I didn't even think of making any resolutions. Here's to 2019! :)
ReplyDelete@Brayson: I’m with you there.
