Most of the time, concert venue staff/promoters don't do anything when a performer brings someone underage backstage or even cares what happens to them. Most of the time. Even this foreign born A+ list rapper couldn't do so at a recent event because it happened at a casino. He was told in no certain terms the minor had to leave the area immediately. No one is willing to risk a casino license. The thing is, now the casino is 50/50 whether the rapper will ever be invited back to perform.

ReplyDeleteThe story in MSM was that he was racially profiled at Vancouver's Parq casino. He played two nights at the hockey arena next door that week. They of course knew who he was, and most of their client's are people of colour. The story was that he didn't have proper ID/ declaration forms for playing $10K and above. They're trying to crack down on money laundering, so it sounds likely.
ReplyDeleteOn that front, in the news yesterday, it's suspected that $2 billion, $600 million in cash, has been laundered through BC casinos from 2013-17. Rappers are small fry in that world.
If it’s a chain casino they should ban him from every venue they own. It’s probably worth looking at the company that Drake keeps too, these sick f*cks tend to flock together.
