ReplyDeleteI lived with a registered mental nurse for seven years. Welsh, she was too, which factors in. I thought I was up for some stuff? Jesus, I was exhausted. I genuinely loved that girl though.
Now I'm sad thinking of old filthy times long gone.

ReplyDelete@Flashy, yeah nurses are always down for freaky sh!t. I don't know if it's the occupation or the almost unlimited personal supply of pharmaceuticals they use to get through the day. I assumed with teachers the drive came from being isolated from single men all week, they are mysteriously very good with their hands.

Years ago my daughter was in the hospital for more than a year. I knew one of her nurses was chipping her drugs, but frankly my daughter didn't want them. It was SOP for them to knock their asses out at night, but they didn't work on my girl. In fact many of the children did better on IV benadryl. It relieved nausea and knocked them out. So the nurse was a junkie. I had lived with a high functioning junkie for years so I recognized it but I didn't do anything about it. This was more than ten years ago when nurses didn't have to scan everything and shit. Frankly I don't know how any of them were able to work with children that mostly were dying without a drug habit. Not sure of my point, just saying.
