Blind Item #9

If the experiment goes horribly wrong they have a woman to blame for it which is what this studio wanted. The A/A- list mostly movie actress all of you know has a franchise installment that is going to stretch the boundaries of who watches the movies.

  8. +1 on the Black Widow movie. Kevin Fiege was very reluctant to make a female superhero movie, claiming they rarely made money. Now the talk is that the Black Widow movie is going to be a hard R rating, so that would be the real reason it might fail, but he'll blame it on the female lead.

  9. Jeez I really didn't want the blind to be about Capt Marvel. Also how is it going to stretch the boundaries of who watches the movies, were women boycotting Marvel or something?

  12. Hahahaha I didn't even know she was doing a standalone. Yeah they're going to need to use every trick in the book, she cannot act. The more violence and nudity the less likely people are to notice her sh!tty acting.

  13. Pah, more cape shit the world doesn't need.

As if the comic book virgins are going to boycott an R rated movie with Scar Jo in tight black leather. Christ, even I'm going to watch that!

  15. Could answer a lot of comic fans' questions, like would the Hulk blow her back out or kill her? Usually you don't want anything green down there.

    1. Right!! Who gives a shit @ her ballerina days?

  16. @Brayson, you just gave me my two top reasons to watch an R rated version of Black Widow! And acting, as Everything else, is subjective, we will enjoy acting only if we like all things be material!

  17. Because the All female Ghost Busters and Oceans movies were so successful the new'Terminator' Sequel Unites Linda Hamilton With New Female Cast.

    The studio is so brave.

  18. Captain Marvel about to save the damn universe in Endgame. Fuck studios for their sexist views.

  19. I hope is blind is about Scarjo and that that shitty movie bombs terribly, she's a shitty actress and a horrible person, so sad she has a daughter, don't know how a person like her is a parent, what can she teach to that little girl? How to be vindictive bitch I guess?

  20. @Thot, wait, you didn't know Skynet was the patriarchy incarnate?

    ReplyDelete
  21. I mean half of the first movie was Arnold driving around shooting women because they could become mothers.

    ReplyDelete
  22. @brayson - So you're saying women want to drive around and shoot other women (that might become mothers) too. That is brave.

    ReplyDelete
  23. My son and I question what her "super power" is. She fights well?

    ReplyDelete
  24. @Thot, Nope that one is all you. They say things like fine or bless your heart instead of resorting to violence. ;)

    ReplyDelete
  25. @shakey, the only woman on the team most of the time and she doesn't get any powers or even a super suit, they've got some real issues over at Marvel.

  26. We do not need any more comic book "films"(term loosely). Clearly, they are NOT acceptable for children.
I saw Wonder Woman. It was very dark sinister and violent in places, and also extremely loud.
Not appropriate for kids. Yet all the liberal mothers thought their daughters need to see it...

    ReplyDelete
  27. @Unknown, Yeesh, ever seen The Neverending Story or The Dark Crystal, there's some dark and sinister stuff there. The world doesn't need more snowflakes. You try to prepare your kids for the nightmare of the real world.

    1. I’d say the best way to prepare kids for the real world is....to take them out in the real world. Not sit around watching made up bullshit. Although everyone in the real world is staring at a screen.

      Delete
    2. fairy tails are dark and violent. Pretty much all children's entertainment in history was/is. They were supposed to pass on a message. I can only assume people don't read or think US tween tv (where all the darkness is behind the scenes) is the only kids entertainment when they say stuff like this.

      Delete
    3. Astra Worthington, I think a creative mind and an ability to imagine better worlds is usefull in the 'real world' too. I am not saying the average Marvel film enhances kids potential but fantasy and sci fi have always reflected the events of the time so...maybe

  28. @lonely bastard
Agreed. I'm all in for that movie.

And to be fair to Kevin Feige, the interview in which I heard him talk about his views on female-led superhero movies was years ago, and he correctly pointed out about a dozen failures at the attempt. Now Wonder Woman has happened and Captain Marvel will rake in the cash. Maybe he is sexist, but I think he has to admit that they can make money now. Actually, anything Marvel puts out makes money.

It's this not the MARVEL stuff folks here are whining about. Even if Capt. Marvel or the solo Black Widow bomb, which they probably won't, it wouldn't harm the franchise. Terminator is already on life support, a bad sjw reboot would kill it for the forseeable (sp?) future.

    1. Buffing up Linda Hamilton hardly killed Terminator 2. We have different politics but surely you agree that it can't get worse than the last drizzling sh@#$ they have put out as Terminator movies. The TV show with cercei was pretty cool tho

  31. I wish feminists and libtards would just eff off out of superhero films. I wanted a story about the Winter Soldier, instead we get Mary Sue Widow, and Brie Larson is terrible in various ways and her character looks like another dull Mary Sue, Zendaya makes an appalling Mary Jane substitute, Tessa Thompson is a terrible actress at TV commercial grade and is openly racist but gets to play a character from Germanic myth... what the eff is Feige doing to Marvel? It’s like Weinstein’s zoo.

    1. It’s not cultural appropriation when they put “diversity” in European stories. Isn’t that convenient?

  32. @Lacey, you're reminding me of a joke. "You know what you call a male Mary-Sue?"

    ...
    "The protagonist."

  33. Feminist and liberal, here.

I didn't like the Winter Soldier film because I thought it was crap, not because it went against any racist/sexist leanings right-wingers have.

Anyway, what could a Black Widow film do differently that Red Sparrow, Salt and other "Russian-trained female spies turned good" haven't already done? People were interested in Black Widow around the time of Iron Man 2 and that first Avengers movie but her time's passed in the Marvel franchise.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Wonder woman was mostly crap. Salt was total crap, a weak, toothpick, anorexic super mma fighting spy lol.
If they want to make strong female hero’s/ heroines, they need to go back to linda in t2 and sigorney in aliens, the first laura craft movie and i can’t stand angie, femme nikita and even campy xena.

  35. ScarJo isn't even hot anymore and her boobs deflated.

They should have picked someone else. Even Ruby Rose sizzles more than Scarlet Johansen does (these days).

    ReplyDelete
  36. Logan was a success and it was R (to say the least)

  37. @ Totto_

Scarjo has a daughter and she knowingly works with a pedo

  38. Social media haters are already crapping on Captain Marvel. So pathetic. IT'S JUST A GODDAM MOVIE, GUYS.

    ReplyDelete
  39. @Maz, I liked the TV shows too, Cersei good, Summer Glau good and Brian Green was a revelation as I'd only seen him previously in 90210.

  40. @lacey...black people can't be racist. You must be reading her wrong. 🤔🙄

  41. People have been dragging Captain Marvel for the past 6 months, ever since that super boring trailer came out, Brie's facial expressions range from Rock to Piece of Wood. They are trying to be inclusive to women, but
It's going to bomb and she will be the scapegoat for it

    ReplyDelete
  42. Yeah, watching 100 pounds Scarlett Johansson beat the crap out of tough guys three times her weight and 6 times her strength is really pushing the boundaries of ass-kicking babes cinematography, reality and feminism. I ain't watching that crap.

    ReplyDelete
  43. "Fans" always shit on the films and actors until they're out. Maybe it will be good, maybe it will be Thor: The Dark World. I'm sure it won't be DCEU level bad.
And remember how people were shitting on Heath Ledger's Joker until it came out?

    ReplyDelete
  44. @Paul Saint John

So you want all your super hero movies to be realistic now? Or only when a female is cast in a role? Cuz I'd love to see Loki really fly and Thor really wield a two ton hammer, yeah boy!

    ReplyDelete
  45. @Plot
You nitnit, the Black Widow has no superpowers, like Batman, only fighting skills. I know most of the physical feats Batman does are unrealistic, but for the Black Widow to punch out cold a 250 pound goon is impossible, never mind pushing them around. A semi-realist fight for her would last 30 seconds before she's beaten to a pulp by three henchmen.

    ReplyDelete
  46. But it's completely realistic for Batman to design a cave, a car, a motorcycle, a helicopter, a bat suit, a bat shield, bat flying wings whatever the fuck, all by his lonesome.

Again, only female roles must conform to reality.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Black Widow is one movie which would be a big flop for Marvel. It is coming out too late when people have already lost interest in that character as other female characters are more interesting. Plus ScarJo is not anybody's fav.

    ReplyDelete
  48. @Plot
You know the saying? Without men civilization would come to a standstill once the oil needed changing. Women are bad with stuff.

I'm aware. This troll, however, is mimicking arguments I've heard IRL and it ain't hurting me any to hone my skills on his bullshit.

    ReplyDelete
  53. @ Brayson 87 She doesn't need powers or a suit because she kicks ass on her own as is. Pepper Potts has a suit in upcoming films apparently. Not lots of women in Marvel either but the WW movie shut up naysayers with box office pull just like CRAZY RICH ASIANS and BLACK PANTHER did.

    ReplyDelete
  54. @kiki71
Wonder Woman, unlike the Black Widow or Pepper Potts, has superpowers. But any man in the world, even Peter Dinklage, aka Tyrion, could beat Scarlett Johansson in a fair fight.
