Blind Item #5
Despite the drug cocktail she takes every day, this HIV+ former A list singer from a permanent A list group that has not had a hit in a long time, is having a tough time physically right now.

Stevie nicks
ReplyDeleteStevie is not a former anything. She's on tour with Fleetwood Mac right now and is in her best form since the early 80s.
DeleteCourtney Love?
ReplyDeleteYep
DeleteHole aren't A list are they?
Deleteanother status of someone we dont need to know about
ReplyDeleteThey say it's treatable now but there still isn't any cure.
ReplyDeleteWhat permanent A-list group was Courtney a part of?
ReplyDeleteStevie Nicks would be perforated septum. Courtney Love would be HIV+. I wonder if she gave it to Kurt?
ReplyDeleteIn other news, comedian Kevin Barnett’s cause of death has been listed as pancreatitis. Such an odd thing to happen. He was vacationing in Tijuana & in his photo from the day before, he looks totally normal. It is an extremely painful way to die. So weird & so sad...
ReplyDelete
ReplyDeleteSo which is it, Love or Nicks?
Hole is not a list, and they never really had a hit.
ReplyDeleteLoved Hole!! Fantastic albums that Kurt wrote for!!!
DeleteI wouldn't consider Hole a permanent A list group, but I would consider Fleetwood Mac permanent A list.
ReplyDeleteHole is permanent A?? Didn’t Kurt or Billy Corgan write most of their songs.
ReplyDeleteDebbie Harry had a heroin addiction
ReplyDeleteNooooooooooooooo not Debbie!
DeleteCourtney has been all over Paris for fashion week looking really good.
ReplyDeleteI wouldn’t consider Hole permanent A-List.
ReplyDeleteYeah, no f'ing way is Hole perm A list. They weren't even A list at their height in the 90's.
ReplyDelete...and Blondie for perm A list band. She was addicted to heroin for several years in the 80s
ReplyDelete+1 for Debbie Harry - many behind the scenes people are rallying for her right now.
ReplyDeleteAw no! She was my idol when I was a kid...I named my Daughter for her. so sad if it's true.
DeleteHole is permanent A. Live Through This is known as the best album of the 90s to many prestigious music critics. Everyone I knew growing up owned that album from jocks to goths.
ReplyDeleteWas my ‘soundtrack’ to a very traumatic period of time for me (during the 90’s).
DeleteLove that album!!
DeleteHole certainly did have hits. When I was a DJ I remember Celebrity Skin (which was a #1 in the U.S. and Canada) and Malibu (#3 in the U.S.) were on my playlist all the time when they were in the charts. The album went platinum in multiple countries. "Doll Parts" was a #4 hit for them in the U.S.
ReplyDeleteCheck ya facts...the highest any Hole song made it was #58 for Doll Parts. Without looking it up, 99% of people couldn't even name another member of Hole. Not permanent A list by anyone's standards
DeleteThis might be the only time I agree with Jon.
DeleteSeriously. Best album of the 90's? Hahaha okay derrriick
Fergie, Black Eyed Peas
ReplyDeleteOh, I hope it isn't Grace Slick. Not that I want it to be anyone, but I really like her.
ReplyDeleteGrace Slick is a great guess.
DeleteGwen Stefani as her ex was a bit of a try sexual I believe. Are black eyed peas a list tho??
ReplyDeleteHole was A list, but permanent is kind of a stretch.
ReplyDeleteThose chart listings cited are for the Alternative charts, not the top 40. Fake news.
ReplyDeleteThe fact Hole only had 3 hit songs on the alternative charts shows how inconsequential they are even in their niche.
They were big hits. And charting in the top ten on Billboard is not inconsequential. Top 40 radio playlists are comprised of several charts. Hole was a very big alternative band in the 90's.
ReplyDeleteGrace Slick never took Heroin
ReplyDeletehttps://www.forbes.com/sites/jimclash/2015/12/12/grace-slick-part-ii-i-never-took-heroin-really-because-im-too-lazy/#2bc290e114f2
Where are you reading that heroin is involved with this story?
DeleteJon, you're wrong.
ReplyDeleteNever
Delete+1 Jon, Grace Slick is a great goat. ;)
ReplyDeleteAIDS is not only spread through needles. All it took was for one of her sex partners to have it or be a high risk needle user that contracted it. It used to be spread through transfusions also before oversight got a lot better.
ReplyDelete@Do Tell, Poor Ryan White, :(
ReplyDeleteAt least we know MJ probably didn't touch him.
Grace Slick was already 40 at the start of the AIDS era and married from 79-94. I guess her husband could have slept around a lot, but then it could be literally any female singer:Patti Smith, the runaways, heart,, etc, etc.
ReplyDeleteShe could have gotten HIV six months ago. 79-94 has nothing to do with anything. People still get HIV/AIDS to this very day, even 40 yo people. Seriously not trying to be rude (usually I am), but your comments are quite ignorant/misinformed. Please get educated on the subject so that you don't become a victim of HIV yourself.
DeleteI am guessing from the blind it is heroin from the way it is written, it doesnt mention an ex or bad choice in men
ReplyDeletestevie isn't former A list---she's permanent A list from permanent A list group, and this doesn't fit her anyway. i sure don't buy hole as permanent A list by a very long shot. so i don't think it's courtney. i would call grace slick permanent A list singer from permanent A list group. so i don't know. i don't know much about debby harry but i like that guess better than the others.
ReplyDeleteFormer A list singer from a permanent A list band is a weird description.
ReplyDeleteMaybe a band that went though lineup changes?
Grace Slick was my first guess, but I do like the Debra Harry guess as well. I keep kicking around Diana Ross in my head also.
ReplyDeleteOh, i know what will be fun! Lets play..... Dox the person with a severe and often fatal (is becomes full blown AIDS)
ReplyDeleteDon't play with needles and don't stick your dick up strangers'annuses. It's that simple.
ReplyDeleteHahahaha! Imagine how much time and money we could save if everyone followed those simple rules!
DeleteWithout question this has to be Tina Turner. She is a self-admitted recovered sex addict. And so ill of late even had a kidney transplant, poor lady.
ReplyDeleteBrenda Carlisle The GoGos ?
ReplyDeleteDale Bozzio
ReplyDeleteMissing Persons?
+1 Fergie
ReplyDeleteBEP were huuuge internationally and big in us
Without question this is *not* Tina Turner. She was never part of a band. The Ike and Tina Turner Revue was an act, not a band.
ReplyDeleteI do so love the hypocrites who take a high road on one thread while advocating the lowest of roads on another.
ReplyDeleteBelinda was bigger as a solo artist, than she was with GoGo's.
ReplyDeleteWouldn't the blind mention this?
How is Joan Jett these days?
Maybe someone from the Bangles? or one of the Wilson Phillips members?
Hole are total A list goddamit....
ReplyDeleteI'll be gutted if this is Deborah Harry.
ReplyDeleteAnd then I'll want her to hang on for another 11 months so I can put her on my 2020 Death List.
@Mischief Don’t count on Enty being correct. I put Charlie Sheen on my 2018 Death List thanks to Enty and that f*cker is stilling out there sliming around :(
ReplyDeleteThe only person this could possibly be based on the description is Debbie Harry. And that makes me sad.
ReplyDelete@Sal Only the good die young, right? Charlie will be here forever.
Maybe one of the remaining girls of TLC? "Permanent A List Group" being that TLC is the best-selling American girl group and second worldwide to the English group Spice Girls.... Just throwin' it out there.
ReplyDeleteHole isn’t permanent A List, but damn, Live Through This was a fantastic album.
ReplyDeleteouting folks HIV status is disgusting. Shame on you
ReplyDeleteLol come on, this is a gossip site and no names have been revealed so chillax please. Nobody here claimed to be a saint or the epitome of shining morality.
DeleteAnd haven’t you been paying attention for the last 50 or so years? Shame is soooo outdated and nobody is ashamed of a damn thing any more. Must be an unintended consequence of this Brave New World! Oh well.
@Cee It sure does seem that way sometimes.
ReplyDeleteGrace Slick is a fucking bitch with a great voice and stage presence. I hope it’s not her.
ReplyDeleteHole was NEVER A list and I'm over 40 and don't know who Grace Slick is.
ReplyDeleteJefferson Airplane Hunter. And lots of people still get HIV. Its just the RX is much better than in the 80's. And I'm talking about 20 somethings and females. Lots of guys with down low lifestyles. Hep c also.
DeleteAnn Wilson from Heart?
ReplyDeleteCourtney has been wigging out and saying some strange stuff...I could see this being her. There were other blinds about her being out and having oded on the botox...
ReplyDeleteHole I wouldnt call A list, it was a good album, but never any follow up and most people believe Kurt wrote the songs.
Chrissie Hynde? One of remaining Pointer Sisters? Doesnt give era or genre of music...
ReplyDeleteYeah, no way Hole were ever perm A list. I could mention them to anyone I know and they wouldn't be able to name a song (granted, we're about ten-fifteen years younger than the grunge generation but still if they were perm, people would know them). However, everyone I know knows Stevie and Debbie despite none of us having been born when they were in their prime.
ReplyDeleteThat being said, I hope it's neither of them.
No clue who Grace Slick is, too lazy too google.
Fun fact: It's damn near worthless to nitpick Enty's wacky rating system. Always have a little leeway.
ReplyDeleteMel B.
ReplyDeleteYou don't know Grace Slick of White Rabbit and Somebody To Love? That is rock and roll blasphemy!
ReplyDeleteCourtney Love has been A list on name recognition alone for so many years now I would definitely call her permanent A list.
ReplyDeleteNot Chrissie.
ReplyDeleteNot Ann Wilson.
Just no.
Michelle from Destiny's Child? She did have something of a breakdown a few months ago...finding out you're HIV+ is worth at least a pout.
ReplyDeleteDoes Annie Lenox have AIDS? I remember her wearing a T-shirt at some awards show that said Living With AIDS on it. She was A-list and I guess you can consider The Eurythmics as A-list.
ReplyDeleteNOT Debbie Harry. I doubt she would commit to playing the Tibet House Benefit Concert on Feb 7th if she was so weakened.
ReplyDeletePlease reveal this blind
