Blind Item #4

Let me know if anyone sees any Tweet or post on Insta about a flight being turned back because of a fish allergy which the pilot announced was the reason. I can't find one and to me, if I was a passenger, I sure would be posting that. Is this Housewife wanting more attention?

  1. I saw an article about it

  2. Why, yes, yes she does. +1

  3. Seriously, this seems over the top for almost anyone - but for Bethenny... just another opportunity to get some free PR.

  5. I think the fish are onto something , lol

  6. I saw this about Bethenny, the hag posted on FB this morning. I rolled my eyes because how many near death experiences does she have to have before she or her assistants check this sort of shit out prior? Way to inconvenience an entire flight because you don't bother to check.

  7. That sounded so strange reading it. Is she on pills?

    ReplyDelete
  8. So long and thanks for all the fish!

  9. So, whoever, didn't check the food product before consuming.

I wonder: Will she be billed/pay for the cost of diverting a flight?

Hint: It's more expensive than if she had just hired a private plane to fly her.

  10. No, no she doesn’t. She had a legit fucking fish allergy. Jesus Christ, why is that so hard to understand? A young boy in Brooklyn died last week from enhaling fish that his grandmother was cooking. The shit is real.

  11. As much as I'd hate to cut her some slack, I'm going to: an 11 year old died earlier this week because he was near someone cooking fish and he had an allergy. Apparently the proteins can become airborne while cooking. She was probably just freaked out. (Enough to turn an entire plane around? Who knows. But the airline was probably just covering their asses.)

  12. There was an article this week about a young boy in New York who died because of the *smell* of fish being cooked in his apartment. Allergies are no joke.

I doubt a flight crew would turn a plane around if it wasn't a real emergency.

  13. Sorry, posted that before I saw TG's post.

  14. This sounds like the plot of Airplane!

  15. No fish or peanut butter on flights from now on then?

    ReplyDelete
  16. No, I've been nervous lots of times.

  17. I'm allergic to fish, and I was a chef with an epipen. Shes an attention whore.

  18. What Enty is saying is that no other passengers on the “turned around plane” have tweeted about the supposed incident. If it really happened, other passengers would be all over getting their experience out on the air waves. Therefore, it probably didn’t happen, she’s making it up for PR and being vague enough about the details to get away with it. He’s not saying fish allergies are not real.

  19. @MamaBear - Excellent Point.... I think you are on to something... thanks!

  20. I thought the contact with the fish occurred at a hotel?

    ReplyDelete
  21. I doubt she is lying about it.

  22. I can see 2019 isn't off to a good blind start. Feel like they have been recycled or not even blind worthy.

  23. There are a number of flights that were turned around in the last couple of weeks because of medical emergencies, not all of which were specified. All it takes is a simple search.

  24. i myself have multiple allergens that cause anaphylaxis. it is MY problem even though i didn't cause this to happen to myself. it's not up to the rest of the world to revolve around me so i take precautions and there are many places i can just no longer visit. if bethany frankel is really and truly suffering from this fish allergy then she needs to take private airplanes when she travels so she can control everything about the trip. or she can just not travel. she attests to having this deadly fish allergy and yet she seems to be unable to control it at all. that's irresponsible on her part.

  25. But who cooks bass on a plane? I fly a lot and often in business class, and they usually have two choices -- a veggie option or a chicken/red meat choice. The last flight I took (United Polaris flight) offered lentil chili for the veggies and chicken with pesto for the meat eaters. The only fish I've ever seen served on a plane is salmon. I mean, who serves bass on a plane? What airline? Maybe one going to Europe that has a true three class cabin with first class, business and coach. I don't know. Because I agree with the other poster -- if this had happened to a full plane, then there would have been a lot of angry tweets about it on Twitter. I call bullshit.

    1. Unfortunately I have had fish as an option on more than one occasion when flying. It’s pretty common when flying to/from Hawaii/Caribbean and also in Europe- which once we had the option of tuna sandwiches with hard boiled eggs and pickles also on it.

    2. Around the turn of the century, I was lucky enough to visit Europe two years in a row...and because of the whole Mad Cow disease thing that was going on at the time, we were offered fish quite often, even on my Virgin Airlines flight out of London.

  26. Unknown, "Airplane" was my first thought!! LMAO

  27. She's from NY, probably set up the newspaper article weeks before to set the stage for her PR stunt. Silly bitch didn't think.

    ReplyDelete
  28. United Airlines serves fish. Poached salmon is one of the seafood options.

They are not the only airline that does.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Bethany. I think I saw it on Kneepads.com......

    ReplyDelete
  30. Yeah, United has a fish option on some of its flights. And it's not like they keep it a secret, either. It's not secret fish so if you have an allergy to it, don't eat it. Moron. I would be so pissed if a flight I was on got turned back because some idiot at the obvious, not-a-secret fish despite having a fish allergy. Gah.

    ReplyDelete
  31. She didn't ORDER it. She is allergic to just the SMELL Of it.

    Somebody else ordered the fish.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Bethanny lies so damn much it pathetic
Oh now she can’t afford a private plane

    ReplyDelete
  33. "She didn't ORDER it. She is allergic to just the SMELL Of it."

Get. Out. Of. Town. (and off my damn airplane.) If you really have an allergy to the SMELL of fish this is so unusual that you should not expect the rest of society to accommodate your issue. Figure it out in advance whether the flight is serving fish and choose your flight accordingly.

    ReplyDelete
  34. And nobody mentions that for the last ten years she's never once mentioned this fatal allergy?

    ReplyDelete
  35. She’s claiming vapors in the air (and on an airplane without windows) could have killed her. And that she “called beforehand and checked if there was going to be fish served, and they said no” But to Mamabears point- that’s not what enty is saying. He is saying her story about the plane being turned around is made up. Stop focusing on the allergy issue and focus on what the blind is actually about lol

  36. This Frankel person is a Fame Ho and narcissist .
If anythimg, she had a panic attack. With the usual symptoms. Like thousands of us have on airplanes every day.
Get over yourself, Frankel. And if you watch / listen to her, you are equally Nuts.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Amertel, severe reactions to airborne allergens are a real thing and a real problem. And the airlines have responsibility to the health and wellbeing of all their passengers, not just those who have a shitfit because they can't order what they want before boarding. You want fish? Eat it before you get to the airport, problem solved.

If you really have a problem with people's health issues, then YOU should be paying for private transportation for yourself.

    ReplyDelete
  38. And as mentioned, there were several news reports in recent weeks of planes being turned around for medical reasons, not all of them were specific as to the reason why.

    ReplyDelete
  39. So Bethany read about the kid dying last week and tried to release some fakery of the same ilk. I wanna see the EMS appear on recordings by people in the airport or on the plane...because no airline is going to turn around and land without calling ahead for EMS.

    ReplyDelete
  40. The story about the child dying was so sad. Sweet little boy. I can't stand Bethenny. I wish she would go away.

    ReplyDelete
  41. I think this may have been a small jet service since the major airlines don't serve Bass. I think that may be why she also said "you know who you are" about the company- doesn't want to completely burn bridges.

    ReplyDelete
  42. I don't watch this Housewhore mess. Is Bethany the one who looks like a caveman in drag?

    ReplyDelete
  43. @cheesegrater- I believe that would be Teresa.lol. I still bet people got epi pens from Bethenny as Christmas gifts, and now in their valentines bags, and her lucky seat mates will receive one before departure on future flights.

  44. Do Scold:
This is a very rare allergy and it's the responsibility of the person who has the allergy (or their parents) to take steps to ensure safety. Common carriers have a duty to do the right thing under circumstances of which they have reasonable notice. And in this case they clearly did. They turned the plane around, inconveniencing everyone else along with who knows how many other people who missed a connection or got rerouted because this one plane had to go back to let this person off.

  45. Wait, aren't these the kind of situations parachutes were made for? As long as they weren't over water of course. ;)

  46. My Air Transat flight from Paris to Montreal last August was peanut free. The pilot announced this fact and explained someone on the plane had a severe allergy. Weirdly, my cousin and I took the Chunnel train from Paris to London and we had to make an emergency stop due to someone having an anaphylactic reaction. SCARY STUFF.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Anyone who would eat fish served from an airline kitchen is asking for it.

    ReplyDelete
  48. If you have a severe enough fish or seafood allergy, being around it cooking can trigger an allergic reaction. I have a family member who can not eat, touch or smell seafood or fish.

As to Bethenney, she's been tweeting about fish on planes but I don't give enough of a fuck to actually read the threads and find out what she's going on all week about.

  49. @Brayson: You beat me to it. Parachute the bitch out!
It seems that every word that comes out of her mouth is a lie. I’ve never watched any of the Housewives shows but BF is constantly in the news. Can’t get away from her.

If I was on that plane you better believe that I’d be publicizing this BF story (if it really happened.) I fly a lot and the only time I’ve ever been on a plane that turned around was because the plane was on fire. The pilot dumped fuel over the desert and then we made an emergency landing at the nearest airport.

If someone has such a serious health issue, be responsible for yourself. FFS, Carrie Fisher died on a plane and they didn’t turn that plane around.

    ReplyDelete
  50. There are two things that strike me as odd about Bethenny's fish story..lol..first off, the fish is not actually cooked on the plane, simply reheated. Are there really particles flying off that reheated bass? And second, if this is truly the case, that would seem to suggest that she would not be safe in a restaurant, ANY restaurant that has even one fishy item on it's menu, which basically means EVERY restaurant. I just cannot imagine Bethenny never going to a restaurant again.

    I call bullshirt.

    ReplyDelete
  51. The plane was NOT turned around. Apparently BF posted this update today. But now she’s in a war with all of the major airlines about serving fish.

    ReplyDelete
  52. FYI: The medical examiner has NOT released a cause of death for the young boy, Cameron, who died in Brooklyn. Apparently the boy had so many allergies that his mother said that there was a list taped to their wall. Whatever the cause of death, this is horrific for both the boy and his family, but please stop jumping on the Bethany Frankel bandwagon by saying that this boy died from smelling fish. His father said that, NOT the medical examiner. The cause of death is still being investigated.

  53. Was easier if Bethadone was calling her shrink...

    ReplyDelete
  54. Airlines most certainly can cater aircraft with other food options. She should get something in writing from the airline acknowledging her allergy and agreeing to offer non fish entrees.

Also she should keep a doctor's note with her explaining the severity of her reactions to fish.

This almost sounds like a stunt that was inspired by the poor little boy who died.

    ReplyDelete
  55. +1 Plot and +1 Aquagirl...the ME hasn't proffered a COD yet for that poor boy- and this was a child with many severe allergies. +1 to the posters who said airlines don't serve bass- generally the fish served is salmon- it's much more amenable to the cooking/transporting/reheating process on an A/C than bass. I find it impossible to believe that BF honestly had this issue- yes, an A/C is a flying tube but the air is not exclusively recirculated- fresh air is also incorporated. IMO BF has had more exposure to airborne fish vapors in any of the many restaurants she frequents where they cook multiple portions at a time, searing them in a pan/on a plancha grill causing heavy steam vapors to be released

    ReplyDelete
  56. Entry talked about it on his podcast....he is challenging us to find something about this from fellow passengers.....he said there was no way someone wouldn't tweet and complain about this if it really happened,.

    ReplyDelete
  57. Then Enty expects us to ferret this out?

    ReplyDelete
  58. Probably old news but could it have been Rami’s brother Sami? Word has it he’s gay (too?)
