Blind Item #1
This permanent A list rapper was never going to contribute to that docu series about the singing child molester/child rapist. It would have shed a light on what our rapper was doing and to whom and it isn't pretty.

R. Kelly. I watched parts 1 & 2 last night. Creep!
ReplyDeleteThe blind makes it sound like someone else wouldn't contribute to the doc about R Kelly, but I'm not sure what rapper it would be. I haven't watched yet but thought it was particularly petty for them to air the Aaliyah movie right before it.
ReplyDeleteJay Z denied to participate when asked because of him and Foxy Brown
DeleteJay-Z?
ReplyDeleteIt's Jay-Z. There's an article that John Legend was the only person to contribute. Jay-Z and Beyoncé are disgusting human beings and I hope every shady thing they are into comes out one day.

ReplyDeleteJay Z is the rapper and he was messing with Aaliyah while she was suppose to be with Damon Dash. Where was Timbaland and Missy Elliot???
ReplyDeletejay z declined and so did lady gaga
ReplyDeleteI mean Gaga had nothing to say. They didn’t have any history. They made one song together, she got major backlash and pulled back from it
Deletealong with several others. i need to watch it
ReplyDeleteBeyonce says she and Jay Z got together in 1999 - the same year Jay Z was supposedly "trying to get with" Aaliyah, before (in Damon Dash's words), she chose him to date seriously after they built a friendship. (Aaliyah was still with Dash up to the time she died.)
ReplyDeleteI don't follow rap/hip hop but I've seen reports for years that there was overlap there - that Jay Z was 'messing around with' Aaliyah when he was already with Beyonce. And considering where they are now, and post-Lemonade and On the Run... neither of them would want to have that time of their lives back under a microscope.
Did anyone watch the first part of the documentary? I am mustering the mental strength to watch. I have been reading and following the R. Kelly news for ages but this documentary sounds tough to handle.
ReplyDeleteJust read tweets with the #SurvivingRKelly
DeleteMy first thought was Questlove, but I guess Jay-Z fits.
ReplyDeleteWhy would you need to watch a 6 part miniseries to be reminded that r Kelly is a serial child molester? My God, this man has peed on teenagers for sexual gratification, has held women hostage in his home, and has enlisted, through psychological means, other women to rape young girls.
ReplyDeleteWhy would you watch s**t repeating that for entertainment?
It’s not for entertainment per say. It gave a platform to his victims. That’s what the show is about - giving voice to his victims who have otherwise pretty much been silenced.
Deletefoxy brown aaliyah bey rosario dawson all underage when jay got with them
ReplyDeleteIt's Jay Z. People on Twitter are talking about the fact that he saw Beyonce at 16 and he decided he had to have her. Plus apparently he dated a 16 year old girl at some point and he took the virginity of a 15 year old Foxy Brown.
ReplyDeleteI didn't realize until now how much older Jay-Z was than Beyonce (assuming the google machine is reporting her real age.) 49 to 37. Means if she was 16 he was 28.
ReplyDeleteSo, are there any good guys in the rap community that reached the mainstream? Seems like only the sh!t rises to the top.
ReplyDeleteJay Z - there was an interview w/ the person who did the documentary and there was a whole list of artists who REFUSED to say anything negative about R Kelley. That alone, speaks VOLUMES!!
ReplyDeleteThose who refused to participate: Lady Gaga. Erykah Badu. Celine Dion.
Jay-Z. Dave Chappelle. Also got refusals from Mary J. Blige, Lil Kim, and Questlove (Ahmir Khalib Thompson).
The ONLY one who said they were willing to go on record was John Legend. Which to me, clearly illustrates, he's the ONLY one in that celebrity circle who doesn't have any skeletons.
@Moose
ReplyDeleteI couldn't agree more!
Glue it may also mean that some of those people who refused may not know him, or have a story about him. I'm specifically looking at Celine
ReplyDeleteJayZ. He's afraid his own shit behavior will come out. I'm guessing it's worse than we know now.
ReplyDelete@ Sandybrook - I thought Celine's name in that list was odd, too, but she has skeletons as well. It appears those who have skeletons do not ever want to speak poorly of anyone, for fear, their secrets will be exposed, in retaliation.
ReplyDeleteDamon Dash was suppose to be his girlfriend, but JayZ was trying hard to bed her. He was sleeping with FoxyBrown she was a youngster when she started rapping with JayZ. None of theses men care what happened to the young teenagers they were screwing..
ReplyDeleteEvery dog has a day, their day haven’t come as of yet..
I'm not saying it didn't happen, I believe it certainly did, but if anybody saw hi ex wife on Hollywood exes on VH1 she didn't seem that angry with him, just an it is what it is kind of attitude, but now has changed her tune. Funny how he was still probably paying her support then, so she had nothing to say when she knew how he was all along. I call that being complicit!
ReplyDeletexyz...if you think the same network that aired explotative biopics of Brittany Murphy and Whitney Houston, and movies like "Mama, May I Sleep With Danger" has suddenly found its conscience and wants to "give voice to victims", I'd got a bridge in NY I'm trying to unload.
ReplyDeleteThis is selling sleaze at its most base level.
Regardless of what the network’s intention may or may not be, the series does in fact allow the victims to be heard.
DeleteCheck out this Aaliyah blind:

+1 Chillax, was looking for that reveal, commenters kept referring to it. The people in that blind sold her like a slave.
ReplyDeleteWhat I saw of Andrea on Hollywood Lives was someone probably bound by an NDA and couldn't afford to have her support jeopardized.
ReplyDeleteCan anyone explain why R. Kelly isn't already doing time in jail? I guess his girls must service VIP John's. Politicians, cops, judges, big names in the entertainment industry.
ReplyDeletePimpin' foh de elite 'n shit.
People with skeletons have to choose which issue is worthy enough to open their closet. Also, newfound respect for John Legend.
ReplyDeleteJay z: he was messing with an underage foxy brown and took 16yr old Rasario Dawson's virginity
ReplyDeleteYeah I really don't know why he wasn't given life for the peeing alone. Some justice system we have.
ReplyDelete@Glue
ReplyDeleteQuestlove tweeted: "I always thought Kels was trash. My reason for declining the RKelly docu that I support 10000000 percent is I didn’t wanna be in the 'good times' portion of the doc, like stanning for his 'genius,'"
"I was asked to talk about his genius. I do not nor have I EVER stanned for him"
After this he deleted all the these tweets but there are prints, link: https://www.complex.com/music/2019/01/questlove-explains-why-he-didnt-appear-in-r-kelly-docuseries
ReplyDeleteIt's not as if the majority of the R Kelly info was some kind of secret, here. This docuseries may open a few more eyes to depth of his crimes (which are deplorable), but overall - it was an easy choice to make for those still trying to protect their secrets. A necessary sacrifice for the "greater good". The public gets it's pound of flesh, while the rest of the R Kelly's continue to operate and build their empires.
Legend agreeing to nod his head and point his finger at the bad man while promoting non profits for press doesn't qualify him as a hero, IMO. Heroes don't wait for a docuseries nor do they continue to look away knowing about other R Kelly's.
Some of those who are the first to point fingers even have their own skeletons to hide. I'm sure Asia Argento remembers that.
