Blind Item #13
This former A+ list athlete/cheat is using his new business venture to sign up a bunch of unknown fighters to ridiculously one side contracts but not doing anything for them except letting them train for 50% off.

Floyd Merriweather?
ReplyDeleteOr Mike Tyson?
DeleteTyson has “Tyson’s Ranch” now and is doing a cannabis music festival.... never really saw boxers as weed smokers though lol
DeleteArod??
ReplyDeleteCould this be Alex Rodriguez?
ReplyDeleteGreat minds think alike MD Anderson!😄👍
ReplyDeleteYup lol
DeleteLance Armstrong?
ReplyDeleteoscar de la hoya
ReplyDeleteARod runs a bunch of MMA gyms.
ReplyDeleteWhoever signs this contract is too trusting and not too bright. Always read stuff yourself and have an attorney explain it to you.
ReplyDeleteEven without all the legalese this contract sounds ridiculous.
@Tricia13
ReplyDeleteFloyd Mayweather can't read too well. If this is him then whoever drafted the contract is trying to undermine Floyd or he is in on the scam.
I would be surprised if this is Mike Tyson. He was taken advantage of many times himself.
Thank you @T.W..
DeleteGlad (and hope you on the mend:)))
Def sounds like ARod the MMA world is small so you take any contract you can get starting out for exposure. On top of how much he pushes his gyms when he is on Shark Tank. For a Shark most of the time he sounds more like a walking advertiser than a Shark. Everybody gets a shit deal on the first contract. But jesus you cheap shit let them train for free at least.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if this is Jon Jones. He won Saturday and he probably couldn't pass a piss test to save his life. I'm waiting for this title to get stripped. It would surprise me if he did something like this because he knows his career is going to end soon. A nice way for him to make some money.
ReplyDeletede la hoya
ReplyDeleteScumbag former athlete acts even scummier, big surprise.
ReplyDeleteLance wouldn't train fighters and he's off doing some traveling radio show or some such shit, where he is just as unrepentant and macho-defensive as ever.
ReplyDeleteARod is on Shark Tank????? For WHAT? He is a fucking athlete not a genius investor...not that the show has any real successful product developers, other than maybe Mark Cuban.
not jon jones. hes planning on fighting 3 times this year.
ReplyDeleteTechnically Floyd just fought an MMA exhibition fight over the weekend, so he cant be called former. I think its ARod. Oscar dela Hoya has too much to lose if he's running this scam, his entire boxing empire.
ReplyDeleteI need to know how the guesses are cheaters. I mean they all have scammed the game in one way or the other in the boxing genre after Ali.
ReplyDelete@plot - I had a similar reaction to seeing ARod on Shark Tank.
ReplyDeleteCuban is cool but Lori Grenier has also had phenomenal product development success (outside of Shark Tank).
@hunter
ReplyDeleteI just did my own fucking research and NO SHIT, Lori has game. I had no idea. Household products are not my usual area of interest but she keeps nailing it. Good for her.
Thanks for the correction.
The Shark I can't abide is Kevin O'Leary, who swindled customers and Mattel alike. He has NO game and is your basic con artist. He shouldn't be on the show except he looks the part.
It is him..(ARod) just do some research you lazy fucks.. takes no time.

The one thing Tyson is not is dumb, he had one hell of an education.
ReplyDeleteOscar de la Hoya venturing into mma.
