The female sibling of this foreign born permanent A+/A list model was brought in for "questioning," because of the model's outspoken stances about the new government of her home country. Shortly thereafter, the model stopped saying anything bad.
I was thinking about Lottie Moss, Kate's younger sister, and wondering why the hell the UK would care if one more person was spouting off about Brexit.
if this is indeed about Gisele, then this blind really is BS. No one here gives a rats ass about what she says or does. Our new government has real priorities now and taking her or anyone from her family in for questioning isn't one.
@anderson I'm Brazilian and referring to the Brazilian government (no one really cares about what Gisele has to say, really. Everyone's focused on fixing the huge mess from our past presidents).
I m argentinian and due to mess previous presidents in the area did in the past now people is voting to veryyy extreme right wings, so I heard this Bolsonaro guy makes looking my president macri as che guevara ...
Oh Velvet Voice, which Che Guevara are you talking about? The lovely leftist poster child 'freedom fighter' who called Back people 'an inferior race' and would shoot Black pregnant women in the stomach and watch them bleed to death? THAT Che Guevara?
I just love when western libtards wear Che Guevara t-shirts. It's like a clear signal to stay as far away as possible from them, for fear of catching stupid.
Bolsonaro is the right guy for a tough job: bringing law and order back to an humongous and violent country. Ornery Brazilians ( white, brown and black) love him.
gauloise, Che is a hero to the left, tell me it isn't so! A racist, a murderer, an ethnic cleanser, a killer, a warmonger - their hero, not mine. Nowadays everything that isn't rabid fundamentalist tree-hugging and swivel-eyed leftism, is smeared as far right. Whatever 'they' don't like, whoever 'they' don't like, are stuck with this label. The left has gone so far left, that common sense has become far right to them. Ironically, to re-tune the political balance towards the centre, the only thing that can fix the destruction that far left ideology has unleashed upon many countries, the shift needs to go towards the right.
Example: lovely hero Obama had by his 3rd year started 3 fresh wars, helped create ISIS, unleashed hell upon the entire Middle East with his Arab spring, which dispersed, until now, tens of millions of people and created millions upon million of refugees. Not to mention how he propagated racial division in the US like not seen since the 60s, and heavily weakened both the police force and the US military. Internationally he betrayed friendly countries, while giving obscene amounts of money to countries whose regimes openly call for the destruction of the US. Oh yeah, and the economy of course, in total free fall, highest numbers of unemployment ever. When he left, he was the most unpopular lotus ever, both nationally and internationally.
On the other hand we have 'Hitler' Trump: now new wars, ISIS is almost completely destroyed, low numbers of unemployment across all demographic sections, booming economy, no new wars, and steadily climbing approval numbers - including amongst minorities. ^ months ago Trump approval rating amongst African Americans was 36%. Oh and did I mention: no more wars. I mean, exactly like Hitler!
Oh dude, you aren't not watching the news lately at all. Course, living by Trump Twits is now a thing.
"no new wars"
Say WHAT???? The old ones are bad enough and not getting any better.
"steadily climbing approval numbers"
Not true. He is declining rapidly in every demographic.
"rating amongst African Americans was 36%"
Horseshit, unless you are depending on the poles two years ago that Cohen paid to influence.
"Oh and did I mention: no more wars. I mean, exactly like Hitler!"
Yes, exactly like Hitler who promised no war for years, until he mustered the umbrage if his faithful to feel they were discriminated against so severely that they MUST go to war to right all wrongs! Sound at all familiar? Threatening war with half a dozen countries now, which do you find deliciously attractive?
@plot excuse me, but are you Brazilian? Have you lived what we did? Or are you judging by the lies and fake news spread by the media? If you had ANY idea of the damage the left party has made, how the broke our country and spent BILLIONS building facilities to host the world cup and then the Olympics while people died on the floor in the line of public hospitals waiting for a bed just so they could shift half the money, you'd think twice before saying what you did. The other candidates (Haddad/Ciro) wanted to turn us into a new Venezuela, robbing us of our basic civil rights, imposing restrictions and limitations, and keep robbing the money from our impossibly high taxes (Brazilians work the first 6 months of the year only to pay taxes) to their own pockets and parties. Bolsonaro is far from perfect, but was and is our best shot to put an end to the mass corruption installed by our previous presidents and maybe live with the minimum dignity once more.
I'm from Brazil, and let me tell you people, almost everyone this douchebag Bozonaro appointed for his government is implicated in some form of corruption/nepotism/other stupid shit, including one of his sons and his wife, so basically he's more of the same shit we always had here, but with the added bonus of bring far right
Politicians are not installed to give you dignity, unless they are Fascists who promise that fantasy golden ring to exclusive groups of very special citizens. I'd be wary of anyone who spouts off about making Brazil great again or magically giving dignity to you or anyone else. Every clarion call you've raised above is straight out of the Fascist handbook.
BTW, if you didn't want to have world sporting events on your doorstep, where were you 10-20 years ago when both events were decided? Not protesting it, I assume.
@plot and we definitely don't have to pay every tax twice to make sure our ex-presidents Lula and Dilma travel around in private jets and stay at the Plaza Athenee. Everything you guys pay in taxes in the USA we pay double here, without the same benefits you guys have. The same car you pay $15k we pay 3x that price, even when it's manufactured in here. We export gas (produced by us) for about R$0,50 (remember: R$1 = U$3,75 in today's conversion) but pay R$4,00 a liter. Cars moved by diesel are forbidden. These are just the minor problems we face here. I won't even go into the ideological indoctrination imposed by schools and college. Also, how do you feel about the government deciding when and how to teach your kid about sex with VERY graphic books??
And just to answer your question "BTW, if you didn't want to have world sporting events on your doorstep, where were you 10-20 years ago when both events were decided? Not protesting it, I assume." You are absolutely right since I was 10 years old 20 years ago and couldn't be out there protesting.
"without the same benefits you guys have" hahahah girl, thry don't have public health care, no public universities, lobbying is legal, and they only two major parties, they are on the shit like us, only difference is the amount of money.
Diesel is even worse for the environment, aaaand it's for trucks,so there's that. "Ideological indoctrination"hahahah WhatsApp is your best friend, isn't it? Have you been to any public school? This is by far NIT the problem they're suffering from (which by the way, is something the lical governments are to blame, not the federal one. About the"sex" vook? Never happened, and also that book's purpppu was to teach sex-ed, which is not just about sex(almost not even about it) but about knowiuk your own body, respecting others, and knowing ehen you're being abused ( also, the book was made and designed for teenagers, not kids).
Also, you couldn't,but you're support people who also didn't do anything,so really, where were they when it happened?
"we definitely don't have to pay every tax twice to make sure our ex-presidents Lula and Dilma travel around in private jets and stay at the Plaza Athenee."
Wait. You don't expect your new Fascist in power is going to do the EXACT SAME THING! Or will you simply refuse to see it when he does?
" The same car you pay $15k we pay 3x that price, even when it's manufactured in here."
And somehow your new president is going to erase that? I doubt it. Too many rich Brazilians are making money off those high prices both off cars and oil. And you have given them just the president they want! Congrats on doing their bidding!
"Cars moved by diesel are forbidden."
There is an excellent reason for that. Care to investigate it further or is this all about you?
"how to teach your kid about sex with VERY graphic books??"
Right! It's better to be terrified by the body and it's natural processes!
"You are absolutely right since I was 10 years old 20 years ago and couldn't be out there protesting."
You were in highschool for the World Cup decision. Were you even aware or were you thinking it would be so cool, along with your classmates? Can't change the past, you know.
@plot why don't you just come over and live here for a while? See it for yourself, unless you prefer to stay blinded by the fake news and keep embarrassing yourself with the whole "he's a fascist" speech. As for the whole taxes and abusive prices, I'm gonna cut it short: it has a lot more to do with the left party shifting money to their own pockets and making deals to stay in power than any other thing. We do hope this new president doesn't keep up with the money shifting as the previous, maybe you should educate yourself a little about our politics, taxes and so on? Also, our gas is ridiculously high due to the damage made to Petrobras (I'll let you guess by whom...).
"Right! It's better to be terrified by the body and it's natural processes!" No, it's better if the state leaves this job to the right people: parents. It's not the state's right or job to decide whether or not your 4-year-old is ready to talk about sex, that's very individual to each child and each family should handle it in whichever way they deem best.
"You were in highschool for the World Cup decision. Were you even aware or were you thinking it would be so cool, along with your classmates? Can't change the past, you know." As a matter of fact, I didn't think it was cool, neither did my family, but since you know so much about me it probably doesn't strike you as a surprise.
And damn right this is about me, my life, my future. But you don't live here so you wouldn't know, even though you think you're so prepared to have an opinion, even if it goes against what almost every single Brazilian think.
Hope you get to see the real Brazil one day, not the one shown on TV and maybe then we can talk more, because for now, I gotta go start my week and work my ass off to pay taxes.
"it has a lot more to do with the left party shifting money to their own pockets and making deals to stay in power than any other thing"
Your current Fascist is doing the exact same thing and putting money in the pockets of his family members and friends. Yeah, he's going to change so much, that one. Yes, sarcasm.
"No, it's better if the state leaves this job to the right people: parents."
Parents teach kids all kinds of things when it comes to sex, lots of horrible things that then cause great societal disasters (take a look at the burgeoning rape culture of India, for example, and their total repression on state supported sex education. Connection? Oh yeah.)
"As a matter of fact, I didn't think it was cool,"
Fine, then you protested and wrote about why it wasn't cool, I assume.
"even if it goes against what almost every single Brazilian think"
Like Trump and Hitler, your fearless leader has compelled you to repeat his exaggerations. The race was closer than you claim (see! I can look it up and read about it! Magic!) which means that far fewer people support your fearless leader than you would like to believe. Perhaps you only include special people, I don't know, whiter people in your classification of supporters there?
" I gotta go start my week and work my ass off to pay taxes."
Don't want to pay taxes? Is that your deal? Alright then! Move to Saudi Arabia, or Kazakhstan or Malasia or gosh even Russia, and see how much you love living without a government and set of laws that taxes pay for. You might prefer bribery culture and no legal structures to protect you, what do I know.
