  5. A Christmas Story.

It's a Wonderful Life is a shitty movie. There's a reason it flopped when it was released. In a world saddened by war and genocide, no one wanted pap about angels getting wings.

  15. A Christmas Story...I have a soft spot for this movie because my brother begged and begged our parents for a pellet gun for Christmas. They were worried he was going to shoot his eye out. Christmas Day he slipped on the ice and shot six year old me in the leg. Also, my dad was very similar to Darren McGavin’s character..

  17. I can't go with 'It's a Wonderful Life' because of the suicide aspect of it.

It's a great film. But, I like 'Christmas Story' better because it's a children's movie about longing for Santa to bring a special gift.

So, it's 'Christmas Story' for me.

  19. I have never been able to make it through ‘It’s A Wonderful Life’ as much as I love Jimmy Stewart. I always fall asleep. I’m going with ‘A Christmas Story’ as it is far more relatable.

  21. Yes Christmas Story, also bonus that Peter Billingsley has thrived in Hollywood as a producer behind the scenes guy.

  22. I love both, but have to go with It's a Wonderful Life.

  39. It's a Wonderful Life

Hard to pick one over the other.

IAWL has Jimmy Stewart and an old- fashioned endearing message while ACS is hilarious and heartwarming with a modern feel even though it's set about 1940.

  40. It's a Wonderful Life. It will never not be my favorite Christmas movie. I just spent the last 3-ish hours blubbering through it.

  41. It's A Wonderful Life hands down! Almost all of us have tried or considered suicide & this movie was ahead of its time! Very well written & thought out! My cousin says the telephone scene is one of the most romantic anticipated kisses ever on film too! Christmas Story is great but not #1! It's like comparing Gone W/ The Wind to The Godfather-no comparison really but both are fantastic! Only one is #1!

  42. The Christmas Story Home and Museum is located at 3159 West 11th Street in Cleveland, Ohio. It's the actual home used for the exterior shots.

Located in the neighborhood of Tremont, just south of downtown -- it's now one of Cleveland's biggest tourist attractions. http://www.achristmasstoryhouse.com/

  43. Christmas Story

I watched Bad Santa for the first time this week. Funny. It might be the only Billy Bob movie I've ever seen.

  44. It's A Wonderful Live is incredibly overrated and boring. In this one, I'd choose A Christmas Story big time. Though between Christmas Vacation and A Christmas Story, I'd have to choose Christmas Vacation. The humor is just spot-on.
Also, if you have ANY fondness for Love Actually....You need your head examined. I will never ever ever understand how some of my friends in real life, LIKE that movie!!!
