This is really sad news. Breast cancer treatment is horrendous. I greatly admire anyone who goes through that nightmare. ONJ did it multiple times. My wish for her now is a peaceful passing.

Loved her since I saw “Grease” and I practiced “You’re The One That I Want” song over and over again in my Candies mules in front of a full-length mirror.
This is her third go-round at least. Wouldn't be surprised if she opted for no chemo/radiation as it's metastasized in her bones. Fucking cancer. Prayers to everyone who has to live through or watch someone suffer.
Olivia is one incredible vocalist. One of the superstars. Big as the BeeGees, Carly, James Taylor, Barbra, the Osmonds, etc. She is very versatile. Succeeded at crossover. We had real musical healers back then. There's nothing like them anymore.
I feel sad for her, but folks, within the next twenty years their will not only be a cure for cancer, there will probably be a vaccine for most cancers.
You can make a difference through donating, volunteering, fund raising. I give money. Science needs funding, we are not funding it enough. Funding it more will save the lives of people you know, if not saving your own life.

So sorry to hear this. My brother had a huge crush on her. She was on The Midnight Special once and I remember he forbid us to talk during her performance . At the time he said he couldn't believe someone could look that perfect and sing so well.
I named my oldest daughter after her. When my family heard I named her Olivia, they all said “ of course you did.” Always a huge fan. Watching grease way too many times, even at a drive through when I was little. Played her lullaby song for my kids when they were babies. So sad.
I love ONJ. I think I might be the only person I know who preferred good Sandy over naughty Sandy in that movie. I felt she should have stayed the way she was. She gave up something very dear to her heart for Danny. He was willing to go straight for her and love her for who she was, and instead, due to peer pressure, she changed herself for him. I felt it was a horrible example for your girls at the time. But I digress.
ONJ was the perfect woman. Beautiful, sweet, talented in so many ways and always seems to have an inner joy that radiates from her face. I feel so bad for all of the struggles she has gone through in her life, and yet she has always reacted with such grace and dignity through it all. God Bless her and her family and loved ones.
