They are trying to be gracious, but this talk show host was not getting her contract renewed, but let her say she was leaving on her own terms.

Why embarrass her? Let her go out gracefully. She will pop up on some religious channel or Hallmark anyway.
ReplyDeleteAre they using the money to bring back creepy Laur?
ReplyDeleteYeah, saying she had "projects" in the wings made it pretty obvious she was not renewed.
ReplyDeleteProbably want someone younger. Word is Jenna Bush Hager will likely get the slot.
ReplyDeleteNBC “lets” KLG announce that she is leaving so it looks like she is in demand (and hopefully gets other offers) and NBC looks like a good guy.
ReplyDeleteBush Hager would be better than Jerry O'Connell who seems to be a talk show vulture.
ReplyDeleteThis is what happened to her on Live too, she thought she would be big when she left that..we know what happened there...NBC wants someone younger...so will probably be the fat blond Bush girl
ReplyDeleteI am all for ending Wine O Clock on a morning 'news' show.
ReplyDeleteDrinking should not be happening before noon & then only in moderation (moderation is not 5 days per week in my book).
Hoda probably got a big fat raise after Lauer left and she took his place. So KLG demanded more more money esp after finding out how much NBC was paying Meagan Kelly. They wouldn't budge so she's out. She's not worth the money she's making now.
ReplyDeleteI disagree.
ReplyDeleteKathie lee is getting up there and probably wanted a shorter work week/ more time off. Plus she have to break in another co-host....hoda cant be doing quadurple time for ever and should be gettin paid BIG BUCKS.
Plus, Nbc needed to keep her around because of the lauer/me too fiasco, megyn disasters, and those other people that left whe megyn took the third hour. They may have wanted to trade her in for a younger model but had to wait until things settled dow some. much disruption isn’t good for a franchise.
I can’t think of who now, but wasn’t KLG lobbying to have some interesting choices as her co host before her ouster?
