This permanent A list mostly movie actress didn't want to do another installment of a hit show but was persuaded after a big time effort. Apparently the experience was even worse the second time around, so I am not sure what it would take to ever get a third installment.
Reese Witherspoon/Big Little Lies

odd, I had read she was gung-ho but was annoyed others like Nicole Kidman weren't always promoting it like she was?
ReplyDeleteI agree with Reese. First season was perfection and should have left it at that. Not even sure if I will watch coming season as I can no longer stomach Meryl Streep (who im sure no mattrr how good or how big her performance is will be awarded an emmy just because of her name. Barf. ).
ReplyDeleteIs Reese really permanent A? i'd have miss 'American citizen!' at A- at this point and that's being generous.
ReplyDeleteReese seems like one of those Type A people who goes overboard on doing everything by herself and taking total control, then complains that no one is helping her and she has to do everything
ReplyDelete@Marlin: you took the words right out of my mouth. Loved season one but when I heard they were adding Streep to the cast, I was like uh-uh. Can’t that bitch just retire already?
ReplyDeleteAs far as Reese being a permanent A+ I have to say I like her and her movies. I also always liked J-lo's movies too. Just entertaining. I think Reese is very talented.
ReplyDeleteWe women are such cats to each other.
ReplyDeleteReese has been acting in Hollywood since she was a youth. She's had a successful career since that time, too. Plus she's won an Academy Award.
ReplyDeleteTo quote Reese, "Do you even know who I am?" Yup. We all do.
Bitch all you want, she's permanent A+ list.
Whoops. I meant "permanent A-list."
ReplyDeleteYou get what I'm saying.
I imagine Reese is just burnt on the show. First season was great and seemed to demand a sequel, but you get to the third season and it's like punching a time clock.
ReplyDeleteI read the book and when I heard they were doing a second season I couldn't fathom what it would be about.
ReplyDeleteAgree that Reese Witherspoon is A list.
ReplyDeleteReese is a wise woman, time to let it go.
