  2. Holy crap. I just looked at the headline on the Daily Mail. Most of an Indonesian band that was in the middle of a performance was swept to their deaths by a 20 foot tsunami wave that hit their stage.

  3. Which is not to diminish the more than 200 other deaths so far, but the footage is startling.

    1. Still it’s a reminder that nature doesn’t discriminate. Which makes it all the more chilling.

  4. Do Tell someone was filming the concert when the tsunami hit the area, it looked horrifying. Came completely out of nowhere, no way to get away.

  7. Let's hope this isn't a repeat of the Boxing Day 2004 tsunami: almost a quarter of a million people throughout the Indian Ocean and Java Sea were killed.

  9. She should tell her husband. My wife's boyfriend calls the house all the time :)

  10. DoTell, I had to click on the article to see the full video. It was almost unbelievable. In Florida we are well warned of water events. Horrible to be taken by such surprise.

    @daddylonglegs

    My ex husband's girl friend used to call the house.
    This went on for a year. The girl friend was trying to tell me; while my ex husband was trying to hide everything.

  12. The event in Indonesia was caused by Anak Krakatau (Child of Krakatoa)volcano. Whilst violently erupting, there was a simultaneous landslide under water on the steep slope side, causing sudden water displacement and a subsequent 20 foot tsunami.
