  1. I’m sorry but what? “//writes his own original song or beat it will be his first”. What does this even mean?

    1. That the rapper uses ghostwriters and writes none of his own songs.

    2. Thanks JD! I still just think that sentence is so weird. Beat it will be his first? Where did a Michael Jackson song come into the picture?? 🤪 Maybe I’m missing something, I’m Swedish and blonde ☺️

  3. I have tried to ignore and avoid the K Klan since they began. They still haven't gone away. I don't understand the appeal. I wish they went to law school like their father instead of becoming fame whores.

  5. "a beat" are the backing beats that play in the background of rap music, the sentence is missing a comma after beat

I believe this to be true about most rappers. They are covers for money laundering, drug dealing and other gang activities. The gangs pick one of their members who has a look, or a unique voice, or one who is able to speak in semi complete semi coherent sentences and they make him the rapper. They then hire the lyrics to be written as well as whatever original music needs to be written and hire producers to mix it all together and make the rapper sound good and creative. The real artists probably make enough money but also work under strict orders to never talk about it or else.
It's really nothing that new in the music industry, it's just a different cast and race of characters.

  12. @Jennifer I've boycotted those Kunts since Day 1. Never watched an episode of KUWTK, don't follow them on social media, I don't buy their shit. I wish everyone followed suit, then maybe they'd disappear. Kardashians are a virus that has infected our youth. Vanity, exploitation, greed.

  14. Idc about Travis or if he works with other writers, but its common knowledge that he writes and produces for other artists. Not every rap star is a master lyricist and producers working together isnt a new thing.

The people who usuly get called out are battle rappers or those who go out of their way to claim they write by themselves. There's a reason why no one cares that Cardi B has writers, she doesnt claim to be an lyricist, she's a performer.

If you're looking for mainstream purests in 2018, you're going to be hard pressed.
