Blind Item #1
Apparently a recent death of this multiple show reality star was kept quiet much like illness that killed him. Why? So, his family could enroll him in many of those life insurance without exam programs. They assumed rightly that if the news of the illness spread, they would no longer be able to sign him up.
Brian Lancaster? MTV Road Rules?
ReplyDeleteGood guess....
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure it is right, though. But not sure who else has died recently from Reality shows.
ReplyDeleteHope you had a good Christmas, Tricia? Looks like I missed some DRAMA over the weekend. AND you were on Enty's Podcast??
Thanks Tuesday-Hope you enjoying your Holiday as well!

DeleteAre they calling addiction the illness that killed him?
ReplyDeleteTrina Braxton's ex?
ReplyDeleteGood guess Irish Eileen. Never watched the show but saw the article in DM. Very sad
DeleteIllness was pancreatic cancer. This sounds like something a Braxton would do.
ReplyDeleteYes - that is a much better guess. Braxtons!
ReplyDeletehow can I sign up for the podcast? I don't see a link anywhere
ReplyDeleteHaving Tricia on his podcast is going to see Enty's numbers go WAY UP and I love it! Haha way to go girl!
ReplyDeleteAlso, somewhere in Canada, someone is probably drinking cyanide.
Hahaha. Did we get any reaction from him? Where is he

ReplyDeleteThank you Jooles:) Sound challenged but-an honor for me.
DeleteHappyNew Year to you!!!
Good story but it makes no sense. The fool trying to scam the insurers didn’t read the fine print.
ReplyDeleteYou have to declare any pre-existing illnesses when you sign up even though there is no medical exam. Claim and they ask for details, medical records of the death/ hospital and family doctor records even pharmacy records. An illness that took a while to develop will be easy to spot and they won't pay out if they have the slightest suspicion that the symptoms of the illness would have been obvious. Death by accident, a sudden heart attack or a stroke are basically the only things they will pay on. They also have contacts with other health insurance companies, riders in the contract state they won’t pay if you are getting other payments on the death and will only pay the difference.
@emeraldcity. Thanks for being expert voice. How odd is it that a supposed attorney would write something so wrong?
ReplyDeleteEmerald city
ReplyDeleteIt’s easy to hide prior medical illness.
He died in TX, maybe was diagnosed in another state , like GA.
Medical records from lab or doctor’s offices don’t get released automatically.
If a test showed cancer and he never got treatment or medication for it.....it is between him and the doctor who told him about it.
He doesn’t tell his regular doctor and moves to Texas.
Also, life insurance from an employer doesn’t require exams.
Healthy 40something male without a regular doctor is not unusual, so it’s easy to claim no medical history or no prior doctor.
