Blind Item #13
This foreign born A list mostly movie actress who is an Academy Award winner/nominee did something I have never heard her do. She bailed on a couple of press gigs for her new movie because the reviews have been so bad.

Please let this be Mary Poppins and make it Emily Blunt
ReplyDeleteNatalie Portman. What’s so bad about Emily
ReplyDeleteFelicity Jones/On the Basis of Sex?
ReplyDeleteHave the reviews been bad for Poppins? Nothing on Rotten Tomatoes yet, but I'd thought there was a happy buzz around this.
ReplyDeleteThe early reviews for Poppins are positive. I’m wondering if this is the Marwen movie, maybe.
ReplyDeleteMarwen looks cringey.
DeleteI just want Mary Poppins movie to be bad because this wasnt needed
ReplyDeleteI love Emily Blunt so please not her.

ReplyDeleteFelicity Jones is actually doing a lot of press.
ReplyDeleteMary Poppins is getting nominations.
The reviews for Vox Lux (Portman) are not that bad.
Maybe it is Jones. Not getting a single Golden Globe nomination might piss her off. Probably thought this is going to be her award´s movie.
On the Basis of Sex is at 77% on RT, which doesn't seem that bad.
ReplyDeleteNicole Kidman (for Aquaman)?
ReplyDeleteNicole was born in Hawaii or something.
DeleteOr destroyer
DeleteMary Poppins is getting good reviews so far. Foreign born only leaves a few options. Amy Adams for Vice? Has 5 AA noms. Felicity Jones could work. I first thought it was Nicole Kidman for either Aquaman or her other movie, but she's born in Hawaii. Maybe Enty forgot she's not foreign born?
ReplyDeletePortman and Vox Lux could work. Hopefully it's not Margot Robbie or Saoirse Ronan for Mary Queen of Scots (I have hopes that that's a good movie).
Nicole was born in Hawaii so it can't be her unless the enterns forgot she's not foreign born. Could be Kruger for Welcome to Marwen but I loathe the idea that she's A list.
ReplyDeleteMargot Robbie
ReplyDeleteMary Queen of Scots (no GG noms)
Claire Foy? She seems such an odd choice for Lisbeth Salander.
ReplyDeletemovie has horrible reviews. In fact it is awful
DeleteYes. They should have let it go after Noomi. Rooney was adequate.
DeleteI am also hoping Mary Poppins bombs. Why? Ugh and now we have to suffer through Streep receiving mountains of accolades for doing a bad cockney accent. Oh and Oscar nomination too probably. Ugh.
ReplyDeleteOn the basis of sex has a low score on IMDB so I’m thinking Felicity Jones
ReplyDeleteI have a feeling it might really be Felicity Jones. they are in Paris right now and I only see Armie on the red carpet doing interviews.
ReplyDeleteNone of these movies that have been thrown out are getting bad reviews. Marwen maybe, none of the others. Stop hating on Mary Poppins, assholes.
ReplyDeleteSupposedly none of the movies thrown out so far are getting bad reviews, and yet I have little desire to see any of them.
ReplyDeleteI really liked Rogue One then heard that Felicity Jones was a pain in the arse. Anyone know if that is true?
ReplyDeleteMarwin looks terrible. When Jim Carrey is a better comedian in a serious role actor, by far, than you then it is going to be a bad movie.
ReplyDeleteMary Poppins getting huge buzz, great reviews & GG nominations. Wouldn't be Emily Blunt.
ReplyDeleteMargot Robbie & Saoirse Ronan currently in NYC doing press for Mary Queen of Scots. Could be one of them.
The Death and Life of John F. Donovan Natalie Portman?
ReplyDeleteFoy hates Gosling
ReplyDeleteEmily Blunt has never been nominated for an Academy Award.
ReplyDeleteThis is the Natalie Portman movie.
