Blind Item #12
This permanent A++ list singer got into an argument in the grocery store about 35 cents. It lasted about five minutes before the store backed down. I mean she goes there just about every day she is in town, so give her a break. She said the store changed containers to a heavier material so they could charge more for food to go that is sold by the pound.
Diana ross
ReplyDeleteDolly Parton?
ReplyDeleteCher
ReplyDeleteStreisand seems cheap too
ReplyDeleteMy guess. Babs is notorious cheap
DeleteYeah I say BABS! So ridiculous. Fine be thrifty, I get it but this is ridiculous!
ReplyDeleteShe's not wrong though. They may have changed containers and not updated the tare on the scale. If she goes there often, she would notice.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, I think it's Streisand.
Streisand is known to be extremely cheap.
ReplyDeleteI'll go with Celine again...
ReplyDeleteI don't think Babs does her own shopping.
ReplyDeleteThe cheapest people I have ever encountered in my life were A List actors. One was an Oscar winning actress and was caught stealing Forever 21 items from wardrobe department!
ReplyDeleteStreisand. Notoriously cheap. And petty.
ReplyDeleteThis is so Babs.
ReplyDeleteI can’t imagine fighting over 35 cents.
ReplyDeleteI can see Babs or Diana doing it, but I don't blame them. I have made a fuss at stores over similar silly stuff. It's entirely the principle.
ReplyDeleteI was going to say Mimi but she seems like the type that hasn't set foot inside a grocery store in like 10 years.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely Babs!
ReplyDeleteThe better question is, which is more likely to be doing their own grocery shopping?
ReplyDeleteBabs is a good guess, but I agree with Tricia, this is the Material Girl.
ReplyDeletebette midler
ReplyDeleteAdele or Madge
ReplyDeleteI've known a few people who have met Babs and oddly they have all said she is really nice but a pain in the ass when she shops
ReplyDeleteFuck Barbara Streisand and her cloned dog, stupid bitch
ReplyDelete^^^^
ReplyDeleteWhat they said....wait?! Cloned dog?!
I have a very hard time believeing that Baba, Diana or Cher buy their own groceries....
ReplyDelete@Lonely Bastard, Streisand has two dogs that were cloned from a much-love pup that died.
ReplyDelete*loved*
ReplyDeleteI hate it when this happens. I was stuck behind two people in Rite Aid each arguing with two separate clerks over using expired coupons. They are expired! The line is a mile long because of you people! Come on!
ReplyDeleteThis could be anyone with tons of money. That 35 cents is going right in the Scrooge McDuck vault.
To be fair, they didn't get rich by squandering their money or getting ripped off. If I find a flaw in a garment(easily fixable)I'll ask for a discount.
ReplyDeleteCheap for 35 cents? Ok. However, if the store is ripping off each customer buying the same product, day in, and day out, the slight difference in price adds up to one big scam.
ReplyDelete+1 for Frederic Douglas
ReplyDeleteGood for whoever this is - it's like a public service. Because if a regular person was screaming about this, we wouldn't have heard about it. But now that this person made it an issue, the store's probably going to have to stop scamming people out. Good!
Why should they be taken advantage of? I think it's Cher in NYC.
ReplyDeleteF*** me! the bus driver on my way to work today didn't have that amount of change and i said forget about it. Just how petty can you get?
ReplyDeleteMadonna. She is known for her penny pinching ways.
ReplyDeleteThis screams Streisand.
ReplyDeleteIsn't that adorable ...the tantrums of the Elite
ReplyDeleteOmg. Yes. It's so adorbs.
ReplyDeleteLol I thought Britney
ReplyDelete@Frederic Douglas: I would say it depends on the type of container that is being used, & there could be multiple reasons for changing it (more sturdy, more environmentally friendly, etc., so the cost of the container could’ve gone up as well.) However, there are instances (there is a chain of stores on the east coast where all of the produce scales were ‘rigged’ so customers were getting less than they were paying for and the owner went to jail.)
ReplyDelete*instances of proven fraud
ReplyDeleteI don’t think this person is doing their ‘grocery shopping’ per se. They’re probably popping in after a yoga class or something to pick up lunch. Hence the take-out.
