Absolutely. My debit/credit cards are cooling down from this morning's shopping spree. Amazon Prime deliveries are going to give my poor UPS driver a hernia.
Just stuff I would normally buy on the regular when the need comes up. I read a while back that there are certain times of the year for certain items when it's best to buy them, and the Black Friday/Cyber Monday weekend doesn't fall under any of those timeframes.
Nope. I've been looking for a new laptop for a while and have been getting a good idea of prices. Had a look for 'deals' on Black Friday and today and they take $10-$30 off AT MOST. Fuck that. Someone on my facebook posted a video of a fight at the walmart a few miles away for some stupid ass toys. People are fucking stupid.
A Shark cordless carpet sweeper to sweep up stray cat litter/hairs dropped from my new kitty. She's very old (the kitty) and feral and I rescued her before the cold weather sets in. My old Dyson vacuum is rubbish for carpets and I can't afford a new vacuum just yet. I am also buying a big button basic mobile phone for my mum for emergencies and for when she goes into hospital.
Aw, thank you @Weekittylass. The only thing is, kitty has cancer. I took her to the vet and she has a cancer lesion on her tongue, and they can't do a biopsy. She's 17 years old, so I'm just keeping her comfortable, warm & loved, with lots of lovely (soft) food as she has problems chewing. She can't tolerate the painkiller that the vet gave her so I am looking at getting some CBD (cannabis) oil for her.
Oh and speaking of gifts I wanted to give gift subscriptions to podcasts to people who don't need anything. Emailed Patreon but they have nothing set up for that which seems stupid as that would be additional revenue.
Maybe some Patreon creators could convince them to change that policy. A podcast subscription is the current iteration of a magazine subscription IMO.
Know how to find Will Smith in a snowstorm? Just look for the fresh prints.
ReplyDeletenope.
ReplyDeleteOn Friday, I'm buying a subscription to your podcast!! Brit & Justin a fauxmance??? more please!!
ReplyDeleteNo and nope, I have absolutely no items I want or need to buy.
ReplyDeleteMedical records.
ReplyDeleteDoctor, one minute I think I'm a teepee, then the next I think I'm a marquee.
ReplyDeleteDon't panic, you're just two tents.
No, but I'm returning the wine bottles with faulty "stems"(?) I bought the other day.
ReplyDeleteWhat are the best "deal" websites?
ReplyDeleteGot deals on iPhones today!
ReplyDelete2 cases of wine to enjoy in the eves as I read your blog :)

ReplyDeleteif it's your thing all of think geek was 50% off today - but they were selling out fast this morning!
ReplyDeleteNot sure about other deals - Amazon usually doesn't impress me much with sales. I got a few other gifts for people from smaller sellers online

ReplyDeleteI ordered Amazing Quotes an Idiots Guide to Web Ranking.
ReplyDeleteAnd an inflatable zimmer frame for Mr Meat. I'm not going to fully inflate it though. When he falls over I'll accuse him of being drunk.

Well, Scholastic just sent me a coupon, so I'll probably go ahead and order the books my kid wanted.
ReplyDeleteI ❤️ you Kimberly. All done except for the old man. He likes to try to get his presents early which is no bueno. I will buy the week before for him
ReplyDeleteYeah, but it wasn't anything on sale. I'm done my Xmas shopping though. :)
ReplyDeleteP.S. I am SO getting me one of those Shark vacuums! I can't look away when the commercial comes on...L

ReplyDelete@Cee Kay - I would love a Shark vacuum as well! But they are soooo expensive! Maybe next year.
ReplyDeleteLooked at deals for Black Friday and Cyber Monday and was underwhelmed.
ReplyDeleteAs a mid century junkie most of my shopping is estate sales, thrift shops, ebay and etsy.
What is puzzling is "Giving Tuesday." I am all for giving to charity but tomorrow I will be broke. They need to change the date to December 1.

My mom has cats that need homes.
ReplyDeleteI did not do Cyber Monday.
ReplyDeleteI did score a good deal on a Dell laptop the week before Thanksgiving. I got a better price than the Black Friday and Cyber Monday prices.
I'm gonna try to get a price adjustment on the stuff I bought last week. We'll see.
