Apparently there are honorariums or gifts to charity made when a member of this family speaks at an event. However, this alliterate former actress is instead, asking for the money directly so she can give it to several charities herself. Ummm.

DeleteI don't see the Palace allowing her to keep the honorariums, but if she is collecting them in order to direct them to charities that she approves of, well, okay I guess. MM can't get away with nearly as much as Enty hints about; you just know that there are some busybody Palace lackeys who are allll up in her shiz and who are keeping tabs on whatever this little American upstart is doing.

Honestly what's so earth shattering about showing up for a charity and asking for donations to be directed into a specific fund and then given to the intended charity? Seems to me that would cut out 'misplaced' monies. ReplyDeleteIt wasn't great so I knocked out a better version. No choc chips (FFS America, not everything needs chocolate), added an extra egg, a half cup of SR flour & enough honey to get the consistency right. Kept an extra banana aside & laid slices of it over the mixture, then sprinkled nutmeg, cinnamon & brown sugar on the top. Knocked it out of the park. The slices on top had it looking like a Pinterest pic.
Just thought I'd mention it. Mostly because I'd expect someone formerly married to a chef to know more about cooking. I'm 6 months into dating a former kitchen hand & know more about baking & presentation. Something is off there.
Also, no. The donations need to be from the original host. They get the kudos, not you. Feel free to have a set list of charities you encourage donations to, but anything else is crass & makes them nervous you won't support them.

In the meantime, we have her most excellent pregnancy, which produced both six-month baby bumps and no baby bump at all on the exact same day during her trip to New Zealand. If she is pregnant, she's wearing a prosthetic on and off for effect. Why? And why not be consistent about it?
These are public engagements with dozens of photographers present and an audience of millions once the photos are published. It's not like nobody is going to notice.

Yeah, the transparent skirt was really something. And then her paid commenters tried to explain that it was an optical illusion that we could see her legs and undies. The skirt was listed as "sheer" on the designer's website, FFS.

If Harry had picked one of the white suitcase girls from the Deal or no Deal selection and she had behaved the same way, I don't think she'd get much backing from anybody.

Also she returns clothes, because all her clothes are off the rack, and no one after all notices what she wears, so it's easy to just return them after she wears them. That makes perfect logical sense and is exactly how the world works.
ReplyDeleteAlso she's not really pregnant, since her bump looks different in different clothes, which is deeply shocking. And everyone hates her, including Harry, who couldn't find anyone else at all to marry before this.
The queen hates her too, which is why she invited her mother to stay at Sandringham for Christmas.

Look at what they did and all the support they had-especially Fergie, who's still thisclose with Andy even though Philip despises her. As for Diana, the media in England still fawns over her.

Fergie, Diana, and Kate all had to put up with haters, and so did Sophie Wessex, who has turned out to be one of the most polished and well-liked of the Royals.
