Blind Items Revealed #3

October 26, 2018

The money laundering streaming network just lost $40M it won't get back because of the awful movie it gave a green light to starring the disgraced actor pedophile. It just gave him a chance to be paid to fulfill his sexual fetishes.

Netflix/Gore/Kevin Spacey

  1. Are we going to have our Gore Vidal fan show up again today? When this item originally ran we had some poster who claimed to luuuuuuve Vidal's work.

I find him unreadable and would pick Truman Capote and even Norman Mailer from that era over Vidal, but clearly others feel differently.

  3. Speaking of Netflix and Kevin Spacey, the final season of House of Cards is so boring and stiff and non interesting I didn't finish it. I have no idea how it ends and I don't care!

    1. Every single female character is a psycho bitch assassin. Way to redeem it after Spacey.

  4. Oops! Spoke too soon! TMZ just laid out the entire season complete with spoilers. Glad I didn't bother. Knew the second I saw Frank's letter opener (he gifted it to Doug) that Doug would try and use it on Claire. And, of course, she turns the table and stabs him to death. Fade to black!

  8. Brunetti is mentioned by name in only two blinds, one for some awards thing with a whole list of either winners or nominees (I didn't look that closely), and this one dealing with Alec Baldwin and Nikki Reed:

  9. Nutty-flavor - Gore Vidal is just about the greatest essayist and historian the US ever had. His writing is sharp, witty, intelligent, absorbing and full of insight. The fact that he was still relevant and popular into his 70/80's during the GWBush years says it all. I'd recommend his bio-doc 'The united states of amnesia' to anyone who wants an absorbing look at the history, politics and popular culture of the US during the C20th. Capote had two good books then died early and even mailer ended up agreeing with vidal in the end.

  10. @longtimereader: Harold Bloom once said, "Oscar [Wilde] is always right," and I would apply that to Gore Vidal, except to say, "only about art." His opinions on politics and all the rest are usually loopy as Hell.

Vidal did not always tell the truth.
