Blind Items Revealed #3

November 14, 2018

That A-list writer / producer / close friend of the disgraced A-list director I wrote about earlier this month got his career launched by the director

About 2 decades ago, he was working as an underling for the director on a film.  He was the one who actually gave the orders to the underage boys to get naked despite what he told or showed the parents of the boys.

Tom DeSanto/Bryan Singer

  1. MD nailed that one.

  2. Maybe CDAN should write Esquire's article for them since they seem to have burned all the copies and shredded their hard drives.

  3. So when exactly do we get to castrate them?

  4. And since hes made some of the highest grossing films of all-time, he gets to do whatever he wants and stay scot-free.

  5. I wouldn't call it "scot-free", even though he hasn't been arrested or jailed.

He's clearly worried about it, as shown by his odd statement in October refuting an Esquire piece that hasn't been published yet.

I believe there was also an odd, set-up TMZ video a year ago or so in which Bryan pretended to be surprised on the street by the TMZ reporter and denied all allegations.

Bryan is looking over his shoulder all the time, and this is probably contributing to his instability and probable drug use.

You can argue that this isn't an appropriate penalty compared to what his victims have suffered, but being constantly on alert and afraid of what might happen is hardly "scot-free."

  6. Yes the life of a multimillionaire with absolute freedom and access to anything illicit he wants must be a veritable living hell. You can tell how worried he is by how he has completely withdrawn from public life and has stopped trying to make movies. ;)

  7. At least if his films were works of genius, like a Polanski. But Singers films are just mass market, commercial junk, that anyone with enough craft could helm. All that suffering for absolutely nothing

  8. Nutty my post was about DeSanto. Singer is quite worried but lets see if there actually is an Esquire expose coming out on Friday. So far Singer is the only person who has spoken of it.

  9. I'm kind of amazed that it took this long to make a movie about Freddie Mercury. The thing writes and directs itself. Probably just waiting on the perfect actor to star as Freddie. It's not at all clear that Singer's participation had anything to do with the success of the movie. In fact, I think they brought in other writers and directors so it's not clear what, if anything, was due to Singer's creative contribution. Also read he was an emotionally manipulative trainwreck throughout the production.

  10. @Amartel, you could make the same argument about most directors.

  11. Off subject, but My Mom tweeted asia argento, and told her she was a creepy, and twitter literally shut down her account for tweeting that.

  12. Yeah, @Amartel, I don't know if I agree with you.

I saw the movie again (with another packed house) and it really was beautifully put together.

A lot of that was done in the editing room, and Singer was supposedly the one in there piecing together shots.

Like Polanski, he may be a garbage person but a gifted artist.

A lot of movies would seem to "write and direct themselves" but come out pretty bad. The Steve Jobs biopics, anyone?

  13. Polanksi is gifted at drugging and a$$ raping minors, the only legacy he should be known for.

  15. She is a creep, though. Tons of people are calling Bryan Singer creepy on twitter and Instagram, and none of them are getting deleted haha

  16. Probably her leftover protection from #MeToo before she was identified as a predator herself.

  17. Ive given up hope. this article isnt coming.

  18. How does anyone know whether or not Singer was the creative force in the editing room? Otherwise, you're just repeating propaganda distributed by Singer.

  19. I don't care if Singer or anyone else is the da Vinci of film making. Any man who molests children, teens, forces themselves on anyone of any sex at any age should have their balls cut off, fried, and force fed to them.

Women same thing. Oophorectomy, fried, and force fed.

After the hormonal meal, put them in a room and let those who have been molested decide how justice should proceed.

  20. It makes you wonder what was going behind the scenes during the first two X-men films, where there were plenty of minors playing young mutants. Ian McKellen looks like a major pervert.

  21. @hotohtheat As if censorship is ever the answer, especially in the "protection" of a manipulative creep like Argento!

  22. Do we need to throw McKellan into the same trash heap as Singer and the rest because he "looks like a major pervert"? I have never heard anything about him, but if you have, you have the floor.
