Blind Item #9

Unless he shows a complete 180 in his sobriety and gets clean, this late night actor all of you know will not be back on the show after the Christmas break.

  1. Surprised Pete was allowed back on after he got dumped. What’s his worth anymore?

  2. The best thing to come out of anything that is Pete davidson, is the term butthole eyes.
SNL/NBC deserves any backlash they get for putting their money into that investment.

  3. I think its Baldwin too but I hope that piece of shit Davidson loses his job over that bullshit comment he made about the Congressman who lost an eye

  4. I agree with Rosie and OB.Considering he is limited to a modicum of talent to begin with.... he should probably appreciate the opportunity a little more, and certainly strive to deliver funny jokes. The debacle last week(heard about haventvwatched shiwnin years), is pretty pathetic

  5. Pete Davidson is hilarious, I don't get all the hate. Lots of comics make bad jokes, it happens.

    1. Same here, unknown. I like him especially on weekend update. That was ONE bad joke.

    2. Why do you think we don't care for him because of just One Bad Joke?
      Could it be more?

  6. I too love PD. Sorry. Not sorry. HIs joke was .... meh! But I still chuckled. Woulda chuckled too if I were the guy who lost his eye.

  7. I agree @unknown, he has been funny this season, has been given more to do, and doesn't appear to be stoned on camera.

  8. But the story on CDAN all summer was that Davidson would not be back this fall. So it's kind of hard to believe that he's on the chopping block, especially when the publicity from this incident has been massive (and more than likely, greatly pleasing to SNL's current demographic).

  9. Live Pete and its wishful thinking. He is more comedian than actor. Baldwin is more likely. Porn star hit man is not an insult. The guy is rugged and macho. Much respect to him also.

His dad literally died fighting the fires at the world trade center, I think him of all people can make a damn war joke. get over it.

  11. This blind reads: Late night ACTOR. PD is not an actor. He's a comedian. I don't think it is anyone we have guessed so far. Baldwin is, I am told, clean and sober. Anger issue is separate. Or, he is angry cause he's clean and sober!

  12. It was the two "whatever"s that were so offensive. How does his dad dying in the twin towers give him some kind of pass to be a dickhead, making fun of a vet's war injuries and dismissing his service to our country? Here's your answer...it fucking doesn't.

dismissing his service? i wouldnt say all that.

  14. How else would you take "I'm sorry, I know he lost his eye in the war or whatever. Whatever."?

Whatever is an adverb that is used to dismiss the importance of something. He used it a second time to make sure that everyone realizes that he *really* doesn't give a shit how he lost his eye.

GOP candidate, the butt of a tasteless SNL joke, isn't demanding an apology
    By Rick Moran
On Saturday night, SNL's Pete Davidson made a tasteless joke about GOP congressional candidate Dan Crenshaw that set social media ablaze with criticism.

Davidson was doing "Weekend Update" and one of the segments featured him making rude comments about how some Republican candidates looked. He singled out Crenshaw, who lost an eye in Afghanistan, saying he looked like a "hit man in some porno movie" because of his eyepatch. When called out for his flippant, tasteless remark, he said “I’m sorry. I know he lost his eye in war or whatever … Whatever.”

Crenshaw did 3 tours in Afghanistan and was a Navy SEAL. But in a surprise and generous move, Crenshaw did not call on Davidson to make an apology, saying, “I want us to get away from this culture where we demand an apology every time someone misspeaks."

  16. Losing his father on 9/11 doesn't give him the right to be an unfunny asshole for the rest of his life.

  17. Oh please, how many comedians/actors/actresses/whatever on SNL can the average person name? This is far from its heyday, now it's mostly for people who don't watch youtube. SNL is not letting anyone semi-famous go unless they're being abusive to the rest of the cast.

Keep rocking Pete! Success is the best revenge.

  18. People know his name because he was shacked up with Ariana Grande

  19. Davidson doesn’t want an apology because it would be insincere. Davidson is putting his mother through a new fresh hell. Assclown.

  20. Sorry meant the former SEAL doesn’t want the apology.

I hate to say it, but Fallon? He does love to party. :( Ferguson had a drinking problem but isn't a host any longer. I don't want this to be Fallon or Seth Meyers.

And as for Pete Davidson, I like Pete too. I was expecting that after the Ariana thing he would be some big emotional mess, but he is still funny and self-depreciating. He calls himself out on his shit and that kind of goes against what you hear on here and in the news. Plus, I think he's actually quite talented. He has a dark sense of humor so he's not going to be everyone's cup of team. And good on the former SEAL (the guy who was the actual butt of the joke) for not getting butt hurt. I'm sure he's heard A LOT worse being in the military. He's a damn SEAL. They are not pansies. You should hear the shit they joke about; Pete's joke was nothing.

  22. Meh. Couldn't care less how he ends up.

  23. I find it hilarious that most comments on this site are filled with vitriol but when a comedian makes a messed up joke everyone is the moral police lmao

  24. I like Pete and see him as a young yet kindred spirit (to my people). I think he's a bit dopey looking but with time and good posture, I actually think he is a good looking guy but it's hidden behind the drugged up dopey look.

That said, first person I thought of was Jimmy Fallon but he's not an actor either. Jimmy Fallon has been struggling with booze and cocaine (mostly booze) for quite awhile now but who knows.

  25. If Pete gets back with Ariana, his job will be secure.

    ReplyDelete
  26. My money's on Alec Baldwin. Is PD an actor? Haven't watched SNL in a dozen years. When it first aired, we actually cut our partying short to come home and watch it. It was that good.

  27. You would think losing your father on 9/11 would make you grateful for those defending those lost lives.

  28. Pete gets a break because his dad died in 911 but the vet who lost an eye should suck it up? Okay
Pete should get therapy A LOT of therapy because he is a train wreck. In the past, I had not paid attention to the blinds because I am older and have not paid attention to Ariana and Pete. I saw a picture of him for the first time on Monday and holy f_ck, this guy looks horrible. He won't be a subject of blinds for much longer unless he gets help.

well the vet isnt too concerned so idk why yall are.

  30. I love Pete.

And I agree with whoever (above) pointed out that these comment sections are usually rife with misogynist, racist, awful, bottom-of-the-barrel commentary... but a comedian makes a slightly mean joke about a guy who wears an eye patch and everyone is losing their minds.

The hypocrisy would be funny if it wasn't so sad that most of you can't see it.

    1. Why are you and the few others so caught up in "its just ONE bad joke/you bunch of ISTS!" ?
...what if we genuinely think he has sub par, childish, waste of time humor?
This is a possibility, and our right, non?
