Blind Item #7
So far, every casino has given a big no to a residency for this foreign born former A+ list boy bander in his own country who never reached higher than maybe B list here. His wife was higher on the list than he ever reached.

Shouldn't it say ex-wife for McFadden?
ReplyDeleteCan’t help but wonder who will see Robbie Willams in Vegas. European tourists? He never made it in the US.
ReplyDeleteI guess he saw that Bros. documentary and got seriously jelly. Thing is though is that Matt goss has seriously good pipes. I have to say that after the fallout of Bros imploding, how come not one decent manager/agent/producer from the west cost not see the $$$'s in front of their eyes and sign him up for a deal? We are talking about 6ft tall pretty boy with cute blue eyes and cheekbones who could genuinely sing like Michael Jackson? humble enough to do the hard work as well.
ReplyDeleteI had the biggest crush on Luke when I was 15 yo. Had theif xmas boxset for years. Never played it. Lol
Delete@longtime, nope, maybe if he tattoos some dumb sh!t on his face and gets weird dental work then he might be marketable to today's audiences ;)
ReplyDeleteBrayson87 - we are talking 1989 here, Matt goss did have a dumpster fire of a career but he did actually manage to survive and prosper by turning himself a lounge tribute act @ ceasar's in Vegas. The guy went from broke to having serious Vegas bank. Look him up on Youtube.
ReplyDeleteYeah, @longtimereader, I have to admire Matt Goss’ hustle. He stayed sober, worked hard, and re-invented himself. Think of all the one-hit teen idols that never achieved that.
ReplyDeleteThis blind isn’t Robbie Williams, by the way. His wife was D-list before the marriage. Now she’s an X Factor judge along with Robbie and Louis Tomlinson.
I lived in the UK and as big as Robbie Williams was there, it was always a sore point that he could never break into the US market no matter how many times/what they tried
ReplyDeleteI remembered seeing the posters for "The Ego Has Landed" in NYC.
ReplyDeleteThe Americans didn't get the sarcasm and thought he was just a guy with a really big ego.
On the flip side, as Robbie has said, the fact that he was a nobody in the US allowed him to date like a normal person and eventually meet his wife.
Cant be good old Robbie because the BI clearly states to anyone with any reading comprehension skill at all that EVERY casino has given this person a big NO. Robbie got a yes from Steve Wynn. So Enty needs to check his source or our resident mentally ill drug addict needs to learn how to fucking read.
ReplyDeleteI like Robbie Williams. Swing When You're Winning is a great album. And Rock DJ is one of my favorite tunes. I totally should have been born in the UK.
ReplyDeleteBryan McFadden was once as high as "maybe B list" in the US?
ReplyDeleteYou people sure are stupid. Robbie Williams wife was on Days of our Lives. Vogue Williams was never on American TV. She was on Dancing with the Stars AUSTRALIA. Just more #fakenews from the RESIDENT LIAR.
ReplyDelete@ladybaus,your own link is to Robbie Williams getting a residency. The blind is about someone who can't get one. So...
ReplyDeleteYa cause the writing here is always on point and the blinds are never contradicting reality.
ReplyDeleteIt's McFadden, probably thought he could,so he didn't go on the reunion tour,so lose lose.
ReplyDeleteIn what universe was Robbie's wife ever more famous than him?
ReplyDeleteShe wasn't but its still the answer.
ReplyDeleteladybaus why all the attitude and hate? The point of this site entertainment most of this stuff is just misleading info and conjecture a guessing game so resident queenbee @tricia keep it up u rock @ladybaus take your toys and snarky attitude and vamoose your game is old and u r a bore
Deletewhat universe is Bryan Mcfadden married btw
ReplyDeleteI loved Robbie Williams first 3-4 albums or so. Never could understand why he didn't 'break' in the USA. So many great pop/dance tracks, and his music cut across multiple genres successfully.
ReplyDeleteRobbie is a showman. His live performances, at least back in the day, were great. That is of course if he can still dance. I would go just to see Rock DJ live.
ReplyDelete@longtime, I was saying what he could do for a career resurgence nowadays, seems like all one needs is a messed up face, no talent required lol.

ReplyDeleteRobbie was Beatles level huge in Europe back around 2001, I remember sharing his songs with US friends and they never liked them, I couldn't get it
ReplyDeleteI'm British and was a huge fan of Take That but other than Angels, Robbie's solo stuff was pretty average at best and he never did become a big star for his solo music. It's more for his personality. I honestly still don't know how he got the World Cup gig. He is a good dude, though. It's a shame him and Barlow can't stand each other.
ReplyDeleteI can't believe Robbie Williams got any kind of gig in Vegas. Who besides people who pay attention to British tabloids even know who he is? Vegas is mostly American tourists from the Midwest who will have never heard of him. I think he will fail there bigly.
