Blind Item #6
This permanent A++ list director wanted one of his stars of his upcoming eighteen sequels to lose a couple of pounds. Now, the actress who stars in multiple franchises looks like she is dying of starvation.

Michelle Rodriguez and James Cameron?
ReplyDeleteZoe Saldana Avatar2?
ReplyDeleteJust saw a pic of Radriguez in DM, its not her!
ReplyDeleteIf this is Zoe Saldana, James Cameron is insane. She’s a twig already. Also who the hell asked for FIVE MORE AVATARS??
ReplyDeleteAgree @not this again. That’s why I went with Michelle because no way Zoe can lose anymore weight.
ReplyDeleteThis is Cameron's MO. Probably Zoe,she fits best for multiple franchises. Michelle wouldn't take his crap.
ReplyDeletePretty sure Michelle would have layed him out flat on his back and never looked back. Sounds like Zoe, which is ridiculous.
ReplyDeleteCameron likes his female stars muscled and without an ounce of fat.
ReplyDeleteThe first Avatar was drivel. 5 more eco preachy blue pocohontas sermons?!?
ReplyDelete5 bombs coming right up.
The first avatar was helped by 3D theaters being a novel concept, it was the first 3d movie I ever saw. Nowadays it wont carry much weight unless they have shooting dragons or some shit!
ReplyDeleteStill can't believe Avatar was the highest-grossing film for several years. I don't remember there being any hype about it. People went to see Titanic half a dozen times, the soundtrack was number 1 for months, everyone was talking about it. But Avatar? It felt like any other movie.
ReplyDeleteIt seemed like it was made with a cheap handheld recorder and I lost count of how many other monie storylines it ripped off, it was unbelievable, really.
DeleteA billion dollars on the line, you lose the weight. Not exactly a life of deprivation.
ReplyDeleteZoe Kravitz has a history with disordered eating so if this is her that is unfortunate.
ReplyDeleteGood point about the 3D. Avatar’s moment has passed.
ReplyDeleteScorcese & DiCaprio?
ReplyDeleteI am so surprised they went ahead and started production on two "Avatar" sequels. It's a movie that nobody every talks about and certainly no one wanted a sequel. The first one isn't even very good, it was just the first "modern" 3D film. I have no interest in a sequel and I bet these movies do not do well.
ReplyDeleteLose pounds. But Saldana is going to be a CGI character made by a ton of animators. The CGI people will make her thin. James is just being an asshole even though the role technically doesn't need her to lose weight. It's either her or Rodriguez but Rodriguez really looks like she works out all time so it's a coin toss.

ReplyDeleteSeen recent picture of Michelle. Looks super thin for her body type which makes her look unhealthy. My guess is it's about her
ReplyDelete@Trufflepig: Never saw Avatar—no desire. Thought Titanic was one of the Worst movies I’ve ever seen. I went with a few friends and we laughed out loud during the entire thing!
ReplyDeleteI'd say it's Zoe. She's in Trek, Guardians of the Galaxy, and Avengers. The Fast and the .... is the only franchise I remember Michelle in.

ReplyDeleteI liked Avatar the first time, when it was called Fern Gully.
DeleteTo be fair, Michelle could easily have lost 5-10 lbs from her figure this summer.
ReplyDeleteZoe already looks like she is starving. Always. Nothing healthy about her weight at all, ever.
ReplyDeleteMichelle Rodriguez. She allows some fish brained, misogynist director tell her to lose weight, when she is already drop dead beautiful.
ReplyDeleteIs James Cameron A+? I don't think so..
ReplyDeleteI think of Spielberg or Scorcese, but what franchises are they in?
Seems like Spielberg is filming another Indiana Jones movie, could he fit in then? No idea who the actress might be
@g, I agree, if it's all going to be CGI anyway who cares? Her character is already manipulated being super tall and not having human proportions, what would be the point.
ReplyDeleteErm, didn't the Rodriguez character die at the end of the first movie?
ReplyDeleteTitanic, this endless Avatar business, The Abyss, Terminator movies and a gazillion offshoots, Aliens (which I didn't like much)...
ReplyDeleteSadly, yes, Cameron is A+ though hardly making great movies, true. But like Bryon Singer's productions, people love'em.
Zoe was a ballet dancer before so she is no stranger to the world of eating disorders and weight demands. That said, she isn't a pushover so I can see her digging her heels in if need be. Minor weight loss is one thing but major weight loss when she has other franchises that require her body type to remain relatively consistent wouldn't work, especially with Disney having hands in both Avatar & Marvel, even more so if the Fox deal goes through soon. Disney isn't going to let Cameron get away with that nonsense if his demands will affect her ability to work on other Marvel movies. Star Trek 4 is still up in the air so at least that frees her up from her obligations with Paramount ATM.
