The new head guy in charge at this molesting factory wants to greenlight a reboot of a show that was a breeding ground for bad behavior and led to the scarring of multiple children throughout the years.
I know parents that will not allow their kids to watch Cartoon Netowrk because they think fart noises are rude, but let their kids watch these highly sexualized shows on Nick and Disney... It's crazy how marketing has brainwashed them.
My young daughter auditioned for Nickelodeon before it began. Her agent was absolutely, positively, 100% sure she would be a shoe-in for one of the dancing, singing kids. Sadly, she told my daughter that.
When she was eliminated, her agent went apes--- and called the casting people. What were they thinking? She never told us what went down during the conversation.
After I took my daughter out of the business, her agent confided in me off-the-record, that he had said: "The kid is golden! She's gonna be a major star whether she's on this show or not. The problem is, her mother is gonna be a serious problem. I saw that right away. She's not like the other Stage Moms. She works for one of the most powerful media moguls in the world. We can't afford to hang that albatross around our necks."
So they knew what was going down before they aired the first show. They knew I would have exposed them in the press. So glad my daughter didn't get on that show.
@cc What shows are YOU watching? My kids don't really do TV anymore, but there were a lot of years with Nick and Disney on constantly and NONE of it was sexualized.
Oh no. The large cast and constant need for extras [and a live audience] for a sketch show like All That would be hell all over again. I can't even comprehend how much they damaged Amanda... it baffles me that there are parents out there that encourage their children into the business. It's illegal for kids to get any other job before they're 14 or so so why are they allowed to be on set for 12 hours a day? . I really hope the show flops.

ReplyDeleteGoddamnit.
We should have known all along, they put kids in lockers and made them crawl around in slime like it was mud wrestling, so obvious.
