Blind Item #2

Apparently this three named actress and us have differing ideas of what is a beautiful script. I don't think many of us think the idea of a step mom and her underage teen step son having sex or implying it, sounds all that beautiful. Perhaps it is best the on again/off again sequel isn't getting made.

  2. Yes, and the third instalment of the Sex and the City movie.

No one wants to see this. The first was OK, the second awful, and the whole hyper-consumerist white lady thing is out of fashion in 2018.

  3. SJP and Sex and the City. That script sounded terrible.

  4. Doesn't sound like the blind is implying the SATC movie. There was some article I read today that said one proposed scenario in the proposed sequel was that Miranda's 14 year old son sends Samantha a dick pic.

  5. hyper consumerism is all over the place, are you kidding me?

  6. No one wants to see her pinched eyes looking mean ass self.
SJP thinks she was the star, but she wasn't, Samantha was the star, playing a whorer

  7. +1 Nutty, it was Samantha's stepson sending her pics

  8. Samantha was never the star. This is why Kim Cattrall wasn't in the intro. The show was always about Carrie...and her friends.

    Hope Divorce comes back soon.

  9. The blind says, having sex "or implying it,"

  10. Samantha was never a stepmother to Miranda's son. And Brady is the kid mentioned. I don't see them ever hooking Samantha and Steve up.

  12. The blind is just saying that SJP thought it was a beautiful script, not that she was playing the stepmom:

Speaking to The Today Show this week, Parker described the script as an "exquisite, unbearably painful, heartbreaking, joyful story, that felt like the beginning in a lot of ways."

  18. SJP. This is the one where Samantha is sexting with Miranda's son. Why do they even want a sequel to be made?????

  19. @Brayson that was a great comments section for Enty to tie into the stable of Greatest Hits

  21. Trivia: At this point, the site has published more blind items about Sex and the City 3 than there were people watching Sex and the City 2 in the theaters.

  22. Of all the storylines they could have had, underage boys should not be one of them. Good on Kim Cattrall. At least someone has some morals.

  23. @Ophelia, just had to say stable didn't you? lol

  24. Don't want to be mean, but Kim C is looking older- just clicked the link for the US Weekly story about Miranda's son sexting Samantha. If they were to make this movie it would be like the "Golden Girls", but then again Jane Fonda and "Book Club" was popular with a certain crowd.

  25. isn't Crazy Rich Asians like the same kinda schtick as SatC? I never saw any of those movies or the TV show, but it always seemed to me that women liked these movies partially because of the ridiculous clothes and fancy apartments/restaurants... no?

    ReplyDelete
  26. I love Kim C.

Yes, the show was never supposed to be "about" Samantha, but if you want to try to argue with me that Kim C didn't steal every scene she was in from SJP, then let's do it.

Kim C was the more popular character and SJP hated it. Enough said.

The script sounds effing horrible and I'm glad it was passed up. There's no SATC movie without Kim C unless they off Samantha and I think the fans would raise all sorts of hell if that happened.

  27. I have a script where SJP overcomes her crippling leg injury to FINALLY win the Triple Crown just months after her owner was going to put her down, then gives birth to a foal who then grows to be Oscar winning actress Hilary Swank.

Thank you for my laugh today!

Never liked SATC when it originally aired. I do not understand the appeal.

  30. Crazy Rich Asians is highly entertaining with well developed characters.

  31. You know, I've watched SATC in my 20s, 30s and 40s. Those ladies were empowering and awesome on the first go round. These days I'm more mature, and I can't watch the reruns without cringing. Carrie and Samantha in particular are awful people, and no one would want to be friends with any of them IRL.

    ReplyDelete
  32. SATC personified NYC before Manhattan became the preferred residence of rich people from overseas and the mostly empty high rises built for them. The arc about Miranda and Steve moving to Brooklyn was prescient.

IMHO it would be a good binge to watch "Madmen", original L&O's going back to Dzumhur, and "SATC". It would be educational for many. SATC shows the end of "old New York City". It would probably take a couple of months to get through ut all.

  33. It is similar to Gilmore GIrls, when they released that sequel Netflix thing, I was so hyped, and then when I watched it, it was pure cringe, and I realized how awful and superficial the people were. The 2008 crisis really changed things.
