ReplyDeleteI think this is the right answer, but being Italian / american, the guys, esp of that generation (think sinatra), kept the wives as saints and got the other stuff outside the home, so I find it hard to believe, culturally.

DeleteMM and DiMaggio seems to be the only fit but she was not "mostly" movie actress, I don't believe she had any acting credits on TV, but she did appear as herself. Also wouldn't they both be A+? IDK but it just doesn't seem likely to be them.

I was under the impression that Joe DiMaggio's problem was jealousy, so bad that he was interfering with Marilyn's career with his suspicions about cast mates and staff. Wasn't he incensed by the iconic panty shot? Still doesn't square with the idea of DiMaggio having a cuckold fetish.it's probably not them.

Deletei don't believe this, same as most things i read here anymore. he was very possessive and jealous. he didn't really understand her stardom and he didn't like it. they were just a complete mismatch. but they stayed friends until she died and he never got over her---i don't believe she ever did what this blind says.
