She might very well fall in love with the guy, but the man this former tweener turned A- list adult singer is hanging out with is also her sober coach. The thing is though, he apparently slips a lot. Is that what you want in a sober coach.
The guy has been in and out of rehab since high school. He actually looks like a drug addict. Supposedly they were holding hands at dinner the other night. WTF? And why is she out of rehab after 90 days. Isn’t that the bare minimum?
Henry Levy has been in and out of rehab since he was 15. Honestly why can't these ppl get their shit togetgher? They have access to the best help in the world and they shit on it.
Fuck you BitterBlondin, sometimes sobriety just isn't any fun and it's like walking around with one hand tied behind your back and all you want to do is use both hands.
You can't help someone who doesn't want help and windows of opportunity when a person is willing or unwilling to accept help open and close. Presumably Jonathan Rhys Meyers just fired his sober coach probably because he loves drinking more than anyone in the world.
How about you fall deeply in love with someone/thing and then have everyone tell you NO - YOU CAN'T HAVE THAT ANYMORE. Well what the fuck!?!? Sometimes you really want it anyway.
Great analogy Hunter! And it's always easiest to criticize something not understood or experienced. I've been sober for 9 years and you're exactly right, sometimes sobriety is not fun at all.
Hi, I'm just going to insert my nerdy lil self into this topic really quickly - because someone suffers from addiction does not necessarily mean that they're weak or don't care or what not.
There are studies indicating that people who suffer from addiction may have an ancient retrovirus that was inserted into their DNA (to be passed down to subsequent generations) hundreds of years ago that causes the dopamine receptors in their brain to react differently than people without said retrovirus.
Sometimes the genetic odds are just stacked against some people :/
@drkdragon, yeah it's like wait a year before pursuing a relationship, avoid people in the program because two drunks/addicts equal a drink/drug, and never ever ever f*ck your sponsor/sponsee.
Aww, thanks Jazzy. I've been in and out for 20 years, spending at least half that time sober so indeed I know of which I speak. Right now I'm sober and it's going well but we live a long time in my family and I don't see myself going the next 40 years without slipping out a few more times on that path.
"Not with THAT attitude!" ha ha yeah I know I know, I call it acceptance. ;)
Yes. You are suppose to work on getting sober and yourself for a year before you start datingoing !! It seems like she’s going to do what she wants to do, she’s not ready to stay sober!!
Arianna G?

ReplyDeleteDemi spotted was in the DM with a new guy
ReplyDeleteDemi Lovato and Henry Levy
ReplyDeleteWhy has no one ever thought of a drunk sober coach before. I want one, and I hardly ever have time to drink.
ReplyDeleteIf anyone ever needed a guardianship it is that poor girl.
ReplyDeleteDemi. This won't end well.
ReplyDeleteMaybe he’s not so much a coach as a companion.
ReplyDeletethe whole 'sober coach' concept is utter bullshit.
ReplyDeleteNo its not. So many spineless weak people who need discipline and monitoring. Some people thrive with guidance

DeleteLike you're supposed to live THE REST OF YOUR ENTIRE LIFE without seeing your one true love again?
ReplyDeleteNever ever? Not even ever?
How about just once? You know, for old time's sake... just one kisss...
It's like that - next thing you've become fucking Gollum from Lord of the Rings.

Isn't it strongly advised for those actively in recovery to NOT get involved in romantic and sexual relationships?
ReplyDelete@drkdragon, yeah it's like wait a year before pursuing a relationship, avoid people in the program because two drunks/addicts equal a drink/drug, and never ever ever f*ck your sponsor/sponsee.
ReplyDelete@hunter so well said. Excellent analogy. I will think of you when i use it in the future. You just helped me.

Dating should be the last thing on her mind right now. She looked smitten on those restaurant pictures.
