Both originals are classic but friday the 13th has fewer sucky sequels by a micron. Meaning they had hotter girls in them who took their tops off when i rented the videos in the 80's.
I really like the first Friday the 13th, Kevin Bacon's death is the best part 😱 that strip monopoly scene was cool too. Moral of the story: everyone who has sex dies! 🔫🔪
Think I saw both of those on TV. Meh. The Haunting 1963 scared the bejesus out of me. Still does when it's shown on TCM. Don't remember if I saw it in the theatres as a kid or rented it after catching an edited version on late night TV. Now *that* is scary for an audiophile. Highly recommend.
when halloween first came out My sister and her friends went to see it and Had a sleepover at the house after. One of the girls had a nightmare and woke up screaming, which made all the other girls get up screaming. I went into the living room and there was a dozen Hysterical girls running around in bras, panties and nighties.since i was like 11 years old it was Like a living sears catalog.so i gotta thank Michael Myers for that one

ReplyDeleteHalloween!
ReplyDeleteMichael Myers and Jamie Lee Curtis all day everyday!
ReplyDeleteThe original Halloween is CLASSIC.
ReplyDeleteHalloween is THE BEST!
ReplyDeleteThe Friday franchise is better, but the original Halloween is hands-down the best horror movie.
ReplyDeleteI was a Friday the 13th kid, but as an adult, I don't think I could sit thru any of them anymore.
ReplyDeleteFriday the 13th IV beats them all. Worth watching just for Crispin Glover.
ReplyDeleteHalloween by far. Can't wait for the new one!
ReplyDeletech ch ch ch hah hah hah hah.
ReplyDeleteHalloween is iconic, in spite of the dreadful Halloween 3 with Nick Nolte. Friday the 13th just can't compete.
ReplyDeleteNightmare on Elm Street over both of them. But since we are comparing masked killer movies, then Halloween
ReplyDeleteHalloween. For sure.
ReplyDeleteHalloween. Especially 1, 3, and 4.
ReplyDeleteNeither. Gimme Evil Dead, baby.

ReplyDeleteYou guys mean Jason, not Freddy, right? Freddy was Nightmare on Elm Street, not Friday the 13th.
ReplyDeleteAnyways, Halloween is the superior franchise.
Then Nightmare, then Friday.
